Doesn't work with standard a4 formatting and no updates to get a global standard in print size. Kind of a waste of money unless you happen to use US paper.

So these templates are not printable on A4?

A bit surprised about the response that you're surprised about that question ^^ I think most European countries printers work with A4.

On what paper-size is this measured out to be correct?

Still no support for A4 format ?
I mean it's only most of the world that uses that print format....

Hmm, actual instructions for what .pdf fit on what paper type and print settings would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Patrick, can I ask, please, what the 4 different colours represent?

Also, no 'spell key card' is evident.

My apologies. This product was not supposed to have the "Spell Key Card" listed here. It must have been an accidental remainder from when I updated my product page layout.

The colors do not represent anything specific. They are mostly for styling.

The Wide had everything printed at normal size but no 30 foot cone or 60. The letter size came out all too small, and the legal, had to print on letter.. but had the was still smaller than an inch per foot. Nothing worked. This was very strange purchase!

If I have to bring this into photoshop to get the right size for tabletop game, I've wasted my money!

Please make sure that you do not have "Fit" or "Fit to Printer Margins" on when printing. Please ensure that you are printing with "Actual Size" selected under "Page Sizing & Handling".

These should not require you to open in Photoshop at all.

The Wide Format file that I am looking at has the 30' and 60' cone on them (Large orange cone in the center of the sheet, and smaller green cone at the bottom-center of the sheet). I will reupload this file, just in case there is some type of error that I am not seeing.

Please let me know if you have any other issues.

Is there any chance for a A4 friendly version?

A4 was never an original goal for printing these templates, and I am surprised that so many people are asking for it. I will look into creating another file for A4 sizing.

Download contained 3 files. 1. AOE_Range_Templates_-_Legal_Size.pdf, 2. AOE_Range_Templates_-_Letter_Size.pdf and 3. AOE_Range_Templates_-_Wide_Format.pdf
No 4th Router file included and not entirely sure what the Spell key card is.

Letter size file and Legal size file contain different AoE templates as noted, but anything printed on A4 from the Legal sized sheet is going to crop, most notably the 20ft Radius and the 60ft cone. Can get away with printing the Letter size file on A4 with no cropping.

Would be awesome if an alternative can be looked into with regard to printing the problematic templates, even if it requires a bit more diy.

Templates are going to be very useful. Almost all are good, except for the 60' cone. It can still work, but you aren't going to get the nice looking design unless you print that page twice and mirror the second print.

A little misspelling up top, should read "due to the curved edge".

Suggestions:
* Legal sized document seems like it's just going to be a different version of the letter one. They work hand in hand and that doesn't seem super apparent right off the bat. Possibly rename them slightly to notate that. (Many documents on DMG and DTR will have two versions of the same thing; ie. color vs print friendly)
* Some people don't have legal paper, I suggest creating a letter equivalent of those. Personally I merged the 30' radius in illustrator then 'chopped' it into 5 pieces. Center square + all four sides. Looks slightly odd with them all glued together, but the square in the middle allows your main mini to not be on a seam.
* 15' cubes and 30' lines on both Letter and Legal doc are the same colors. Don't know if that's intentional but I expected to have four separate colors like the 10' radius.
* For anything with a straight edge, possible create a grey trim line coming off the sides to help cutting them out with a tabletop trimmer. The curves make it harder on...See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
