I have a question: In the book you mentioned anyone getting Cyberware in Pan Pacifica is assigned a GTL or Gremlin Threat level, but how do you determine it? Outside of discussing it for Pan Pacifica , there is no mention of it anywhere in the bono. can you expound on it? thanks!

Apologies for the really late reply. And also for the bad writing in the book... the GTL rules do make sense, but they are *way* too condensend. Essentially, the character starts with a GTL of 0. Every time she stands close to a reasonably large machine, you roll a d20 and add that to the current GTL, so in case of the first roll you add that to the 0, ending up with a GTL between 1 and 20. On the next day (like at least 24 h later), when she is close to another machine, you roll again and add that result to her current GTL, and so forth. So bascially the GTL goes up by 1d20 once per day, unless you're in Aysle, the Living Land or some such place with no machines. And once the level goes to 20 or higher (which could happen on the very first day, though not likely), you have your Gremlin Machine encounter.

Those are the rules, in more detail. I hope they make better sense now. Sorry for condensing them down too much in the book.

Also, as a GM please keep in mind that this whole mechanic...See more

Thanks. They do make sense. One last question: suppose the character is in High tech for some time-let's say 5 days-would they need to spend an equal amount of time away form all high tech to purge the cyberware and return it to normal-or is there a spell, Psionic ability or miracle that could clean it out? Thanks again

I would say that for each full 24 hours the storm knight spends in a reality with a tech level below 20 the GTL goes down by 1d6. Additionally, if the storm knight disconnects in such a reality, the GTL should go down to zero right away. A cleansing ritual also sounds like a fun idea, but as a GM I wouldn't want to make that too easy for the player, and more like a story beat in and of itself.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
