Mecha is a Core Rulebook with its own Established Rule Set for the Sci-Fi Universe it is set in. With its own Dice System for players to use under the guidance of their DM or GM to act out and perform during their missions, quests, and adventures they may find themselves roped into.

A list of Playable Races and Qualifications give players a few options when choosing what they want to do starting out. It is possible with a little effort to focus your characters skill set to be a specialist in specific areas.

A Qualification is much like a Career Choice that provides different benefits for the player, it also provides a characters guideline for role playing purposes.

Within the rulebook there are sections detailing the region of space players will be starting in, including a list of Planets that have descriptions, conditions, and other details needed for a DM or GM to run a campaign on, or across from planet to planet. There is a starter adventure a DM or GM can use to teach new players and build it into his own story, or they can continue with the Mecha story with the next installment coming soon.

There is more than a dozen unique "Mecha" that have different utilities, benefits, stat variations, and disadvantages. In this universe a Mecha can range anywhere from 25 to 60-Meters tall, true killing machines.

There is also a unique system for starship use and space travel with a different rule system to determine general piloting, dog-fights, and even a long distance travel system with an interesting twist with more to come.

Players at any time whether planet-side or in space, decide how they play. If they're in a Mecha, on the ground, or in a starship. They have the freedom to gather resources and fight back at whatever the DM throws at them. It is a Tabletop RPG that has a heavy focus towards operating as a team, choosing skills, equipment, and abilities that complement the group where it is lacking, and of course enhancing their strengths. The Lone Wolf may survive for a time, but in the end a Pack survives longer.

I have written Mecha in hopes of getting my ideas out and hopefully creating a game that everyone loves to play. I developed this game privately and registered it under my own new business dedicated to writing Novels, games and other things. Just starting out I still have high hopes for success. There's a bunch of great Sci-Fi rpg's out there and there always will be. Hopefully this is viewed as a fresh take on some old ideas to bring people back to the table and off the couch.

There is always room for improvement and I accept any questions or comments on what can be improved by buyers and reviewers. Revisions will be made I'm sure. We all have to start somewhere and I would be happy to answer questions in regards to the game, I can be contacted at my personal email, noblecreaturerpg@yahoo.com if more detail is needed if your having a hard time deciding to buy the book. Thanks to everyone who takes a peek.

Just wondering but is there any art in the book or will art be added later? I didn't see any in the preview so I thought I'd ask.

Hi Stacie, thank you for your question.

Currently there is some artwork for a few starships and the planets that players can adventure on. We are searching for an artist we can work with long term to insure there isn’t changes in the artwork for future planned installments. We also want to keep artwork limited to a point to save space on the page for more information players need, and plan to release a separate booklet that details specifically the Mecha in the book as an inexpensive and separate source for players to make their selections when playing. Or just read. It will have full images, descriptions, statistics, and suggested tactics for players to use when piloting their Meha. I hope this answers your question, have a great day!

I want to buy this game but I am concerned that it's too combat focused. Me and my friends love the drama of a live revolving around giant robots but we are a combat-light gaming group who likes combat but prefers the role-play of it all and decision making. Does this game allow for a good roleplay experience in the mechanics? or is the focus on combat? Thanks.

Hi Joshua, thank you for your question!

I want to start out saying that there is a combat focus in the game if your group and GM or DM want to take that approach. However, it sounds like your group is oriented towards more of the Role Playing and Acting aspect which is great. There is no part of this rpg system that strictly forces a group to engage in combat, it wholeheartedly depends on what you and your group decides to do with your GM. It is possible to avoid combat entirely if players actively choose to do so depending on the situation.

The characteristics of PC’s is generated off of player choice in the beginning, it determines your ability to actively solve problems or complete difficult tasks and sets the chord for your in game acting. Your abilities in turn translate modifiers to your Skills and you would utilize both for manipulating the world around you in game at the GM’s discretion. Depending on the session and how the GM starts your campaign you may in fact not even...See more

Hi Stacie, thank you for your question. Yes! Currently our cover and content files are being reviewed by the Printer for validation for a Color Hardcover. That should hopefully finish processing within a week or so. Unfortunately, we do have to then order a Proof-Copy to make sure everything is lined up and in order. If everything goes well it very well may be available by the end of February at the earliest. When released, a Purchase of the Hardcover will include of course a free version of the PDF so you can view it any time if you forget your copy at home. Thank you again for your question and we hope you try out the title.

Is this at all connected to Chris Perrin's Mecha RPG?

Hi Daniel thank you for the question. I would like to say there is no relation between the two games but the truth is that Any Game where Mecha in some form or another is in use, makes them connected by an idea. "Mecha" simply put are extremely large, weaponized machines that are used for combat on a large scale. Chris Perrin's Mecha is a Mecha Anime Based RPG, that operates on a D6 system in a universe where its Planet is Controlled by Mythological Gods.

My title "Mecha" is not connected to "Chris Perrin's Mecha", it has its own dice system and rules with an entire galaxy to travel in with its own story and Universe. It also has its own Mecha that operate within the scope of My Titles System, including simple transitions between "In Mecha Combat", "Out of Mecha Combat", and "Starship Combat". It gives players the ability to focus in whichever area they want but the game always brings you back to your human feet. There will also be an update...See more

I'm a huge fan of ttrpgs and my fellow friends and I have been looking for something new to try. The concept in this seems really interesting from what I understand in the description. I'm going to make the purchase and sit down with my group and come back with a full review.

The review is as vague as the blurb above. This all smells fishy to me. Also, a yahoo email address?

I'm interested to know if it's actually BRP related. Often, items marked as such are just generic and un-statted.

Please explain why anyone would pay $24.99 for just a PDF? Awfully expensive for something that's not clearly not worth it. Missed points for no originality.

Could we have a bit more detail as to what this is? Novel? Complete game? Campaign world? Thanks!

I agree. The discription is very vague. The quick preview suggest a sci-fi rpg, but is it a core rule set or a campaign to an established rule set.

Whatever it is, it looks amateurish as hell and not even remotely worth the $24.99 the author hopes some sucker will pay him for this.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
