Best Left Buried is a fantasy horror game where the monsters are scary and the players are scared. Within the Crypt, these adventurers will be beset by strange monsters, bizarre environments and eldritch magics, which will take them on their journey from fresh faced recruits to grizzled survivors.

Within its 100 pages, this book contains all the basic rules you need to run the game for both the players and the Doomsayer. Inside are the rules for making characters, as well as the monsters and magics used to challenge both their minds and bodies.

I’m confused on how Exertion works. The initial survey says it is a way to gain the Upper Hand on a die roll, so whichever of your dice roll highest stand. But later, in the Playing the Game section on p. 70, it instead says it is a reroll mechanism (and per die rather than per Check), and the latest roll stands, not the highest. These have rather different effects, so which is it?

Is there an errata for the book? Or plans for updating the files?
It seems that there are some places where the text is messed up. Eg. Fire and lightning strange description on page 60.

Other then that, it looks great so far (I'm almost done reading).

While it contains all the rules you need to play the game, we do have a separate book 'The Doomsayer's Guide to Horror' that is meant to act as a true DMG equivalent.
