DRAGONLOCK Ultimate: GM Screen of DOOM

ADD TO WISHLIST >

DRAGONLOCK™ Ultimate is an interlocking terrain system that allows you to create fully modular, multi-level 28mm scale dungeon terrain for your RPG or wargame on your home 3D printer. Individual pieces links to neighboring pieces with our exclusive Dragonbite™ clips. Each set is delivered as a downloadable .stl file, and once you have the set, you can print as many pieces as you like and never run out or need to purchase more.

All of the models shown were printed at 200 micron resolution, a common standard on most economical 3D printers. A nice starter printer that can print these files starts around $220 (see our F.A.Q. for more info on printers, printing costs, filaments, and more, over on the FDG website forums.) Note: the dice tower top piece requires a 130x130mm print area.

This modular GM screen includes:

• Dice towers (can face front or back)

• Optional demon face dice chute opening.

• Adjustable width and height for screen.

• Initiative tracker clips

• Initiative tracker clips (extended for binder clips)

• 2" titling bin

• 4" tilting bin

• 2" shelf

• 4" shelf

• Pen/pencil storage

• Full color instructions.

The area of the bottom of the dice tower is pretty small, I keep getting dice stuck in the chute.

I have printed out about 1 of everything. I have one issue and one suggestion.
Issue: When rolling a pool of 6-sides, the flat portion of the 2-inch extension sometimes catches a die or two. If it had been angled slightly, I think this would happen less.
Suggestion: I would really have liked the ability to have two tops feed into 1 out, so the dice path would have been a 'Y'. I could feed the dice into either top and they would come out the same exit, sort of like two guard towers on both sides of a gate.

I think you got the wrong part. The extension is just a straight chute down that goes under the mid piece.

Is this price in USD or Cad? And what are rough dementions of the display images?

If you scroll to the bottom of the page, on the right in red, you will see an adjustable cost per country widget.

Anyone else have an issue with the demon head a and b not fitting together? The bottoms line up perfectly, but the sides are skewed by about a quarter inch.

The rest of the dice tower lines up perfectly and sits flush. Unfortunately if you have your heart set on using the demon head, it doesn't fit together and I personally wasn't able to use it. I printed two, being sure to re-level, and both turned out the same.

I printed this last week and did not have this issue. 3D printing isn't quite a "download, press play, and walk away" technology yet, the Facebook group for Dragonlock has been very helpful. Once I got things dialed in, I was very happy with the results I got with the Demon Head version of the dice tower. First one was a gift, planning to print a second one for my own use here shortly.

Problem is some of us refuse to give away our personal info for free. I would like to see the seller reply to threads like this on here.

This is very cool. There is one issue, however. Ive printed the bottom, extension and middle of a dice tower (25-ish hours) and only now discovered that, according to Cura, the tower top cant be sliced until it is scaled to 92.52% on my Monoprice Mini. doh! I dont care to fiddle about with tweaking the STL meshes. So I'm going to hope that the difference isnt enough that I cant epoxy the top on without using the clips (at 92% the clip holes are likely offset too much to be useful)

This is not a criticism at all. Just a tip for other folks using printers with a smaller print area: Load all the models into cura at least once and see if each peice can be printed at default size prior to printing anything. As I should have done...

I should have read this before I started printing. I printed the bottom and the middle just fine and then couldn't get the top sorted. I was able to split the STL File in half but will end up having to split it into quarters for it to fit properly on my MPS V2. It doesn't diminish the coolness of the overall screen.

I got a separate email from DTRPG with my personalized link. Remember it was an Add-on in the KS, and automatically included only with Hero Level pledges 5-7. I'd jump over to KS and doublecheck your pledge. If you should have received it and didn't I'm sure FDG will get you setup. Just send them a PM on KS.

I tried that, but it seems there is a limited time that KS keeps one's account on file if on doesn't keep logging in or pledging.....My account is gone.

Just got mine from the KickStarter. Can't wait to get started. You guys need to do a designer app or website to make it easier to plan the ultimate configuration. :)

All depends on how big you build yours, and which options are selected for the individual modules. :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
