Dungeon Balconies

Dungeon Balconies

STL (3D Model)

Need a balcony for your BBEG to monologue from?  Does Count Strahd need a place to greet his future victims?  Or does your castle need a grand entrance?  This set provides the stairs, railings, and balconies you need to build all these and more.

Sample Balcony

Among the 33 pieces in this set, you'll find:

  • Balcony floors, walls with balcony floors, and corners with balcony floors, all with various combinations of railings and rail posts
  • A new balcony angled floor, with and without railings
  • Stairs to the balcony level both freestanding and sideways along a wall, with and without railings
  • A doorway with stairs leading up to the balcony level

All balcony pieces

Recommended Print Settings:

  • Layer Size: 0.15mm
  • Infill: 10% (which made sturdy railings on a Prusa Mk3) or more as needed
  • Top/Bottom Layers: 6 (or 0.9mm if using a different layer size than 0.15mm)
  • Side Shell Count: 2 (or 0.8mm if using a different nozzle size than 0.4mm)
  • Raft/Brim/Supports: none

NOTE: If your printer has problems while printing some of the railing posts, try increasing side shells (sometimes called perimeters) to 4 to produce extra thick walls.

Thanks for this! A great dramatic set. Would be nice if the stairs matched the dias stairs from Dungeon Delve 2, or if your version of the stairs without the railing were part of this set.

The railings came out better if the top step was lower than "dais level" (the Delve 2 ones have the top step at dais level). But I can add the stairs-without-railing model to this set.

That would be awesome, thanks! The primary piece I'm looking for is the stairs and walls combined (without the railing).

Many thanks for adding the versions without railings. Exactly what I'm looking for!

Original electronic
Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
