D100 Dungeon is a game in which you will steer an adventurer through underground caves and dungeons, looking for lost treasures and completing dangerous quests. With each game your adventurer will gain wealth, recognition and become stronger and more skillful in their pursuits. All you will need to play D100 Dungeon, is a pencil, eraser, a few dice and your imagination.

Your journey begins when you create an adventurer and start performing the dungeon training missions. Once they have been successfully completed your adventurer will be ready to face some greater challenges and begin questing in an endeavour to gain notoriety and wealth, rivalling that of royalty, and who knows one day their greatest exploits might even become stories and songs performed by bards in every tavern throughout the Kingdom.

You will need this book (D100 Dungeon) to use and play all of the other D100 Dungeon books in the series. This is the most current version and is also known by the name D100 Dungeon V3. All of the products listed here on DriveThruRPG are for this version of the game. As there are no plans to update the game to a new version, everything that is being released for D100 Dungeon will be current for years to come.

PLEASE NOTE: The PDF option has been set as not printable.

I've played 2.2 and had a great time. For those of you who have played this a decent amount (or Martin if you want to chime in), what are the essentials at first? Is D100 Dungeon v3 enough or do I really need to also get X? I don't want to start and then realize that I should have bought X and now I have to restart...

Thanks for any advice!

Also... can I print the pdf...? (Heehee, sorry, I had to...) :)

I ordered and just received the v3 hardcover.
Thanks for making this game. It is a lot of fun!

I really like the game, but the grammar and sentence structures in the rules are very poor for a V3 of the game.

Not printable? You don't really understand how this "internet" thing works with digital distribution do you? Either way, that sort of thing kills interest in your product. Should I purchase it printing it would be trivial anyway but the sort of attitude that says "You can't do that" is just plain offensive.

Look for a used copy online. They're hard to come by but they do pop up no and again. I nabbed one last week, ya just gotta be patient...

Fortune favors the patient.
I found a USED copy of the book online.
If you'd not been greedy and restricted printing on the PDF, I'd have happily bought your book new.
Now, thanks to your greed, you get nothing from me.
Oh and I'll be loaning out my copy to any of my friends that want it.

I saw this game on BGG and i loved it on sight. I bought the PDF and started out with building my character. Too bad I have to start with a leather cap ;) and that i misspelled my name so it is on my PDFcopy :p
I have one question: i know my PDF is not printable but i can't use my bookmarks on the Ipad so have to constant scroll from the tables and the first chapters. Is there a good PDF reader that can do this? Kind regards.

I use the one supplied with the ipad, called (books), you may need to share the pdf with the app from your download folder. Once it has loaded, just click once anywhere on the page to bring up the options. You will get a page scroller at the bottom, and three bars icon for options, touch to choose from the index or tables. choose index to navigate to the rules or the tables to jump quickly to the individual tables. You can also switch to a page viewer. Hope this helps, and thanks for supporting the game with your purchase. Oh and once you have opened it in books, you will need to save it to books (use arrow in a page icon) for future use.

Yes it works! I just finished my first Quest and i love it! Maybe I overread it but every new Quest starts with a new blank dungeon sheet?

This game has a really good mechanic and it is a real exciting adventure, i love the fact that it feels like reading a very good book, the images forms within your imagination.

Hi Martin,
This looks great, but we want to play with multiple players and haven't played this before. Do we just go straight to the D100 Dungeon: The Adventurers Companion or do we start with the D100 Dungeon and go from there?
Thanks!

Hi Paul, the rules for multi play can be found in the Adventurers Companion, but to play this you will need the main D100 Dungeon rule book. Your adventurers will need to begin by performing the first 5 training quests, or they will need to use a fast track option that takes them through the first 5 missions without actually needing to play the actual quests. The fast track rules are also found in the Adventurers Companion. However, I would recommend at least one of the party, playing them through to experience the game and become familiar with the rules before you all sit down together for a game.

I'm new to D100 and pnp in general. I downloaded version 2.2 yesterday and was impressed enough to buy V3 PDF today.

I was wondering if there is a way to get the V3 Adventure Sheet Front and Back in a printable version? Actually pages 64 thru 70 really need to be printable, but the Adventure Sheet is critical. The V2.2 is missing a lot of the great new updates. I really like using my tablet to jump to the tables, but not having access to those pages in a printable form is very frustrating when building an adventurer and trying to keep track of the hero stats etc.

Thanks for providing the links. I'm really enjoying this game system. This is great for those times when I want to dungeon delve and the rest of the household is asleep. ( Almost every night LOL). With the dice app on my phone and the book on my tablet I can pick up my clipboard from the night stand and silently continue my adventure.

Your website is very helpful especially the link to your YouTube tutorials.

Hi, really like the game. I didn't want to add to the negativity with the non-printing policy, but I have to say I was really disappointed that the pdf is not searchable. Most pages are images. So, if you for instance want to see all the places the word "parts" show up, you simply can't. Or if you remember having read a passage about something and only remember a keyword, you still have to manually browse for it, on your screen.

So now I have the 2.2 on a separate screen to be able to search, and then manually browse there on the 3.0 to see if there are any changes. Needles to say, it gets in the way of an immersive experience. Would love an update with searchable text.

Tried to edit the above. It's not as bad as I first thought. It's mosty the tables that are not searchable.

To anyone on the fence: it's a lovely game, and with a tablet with Acrobat, giving you easier access to bookmarks and search, the digital aspect might just grow on you.

I purchased the pdf not knowing you could not print it out. My fault, however is there anywhere that I can print a version 3.0 character sheet? Seems pretty ridiculous if you cant. Thanks for any help in advance.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
