is it possible to use the starship rules from Tiny Frontiers in case i want to make a Spelljammer-esque adventure?

Absolutely! They might require some reskinning and tweaking, but they're very compatible.

I missed the Deal of the Day sale yesterday! Dang! LoL. I had it in my cart ready to go but the time ran out before I could complete my purchase. Serves me right for thinking I could squeeze in some Roll20 before did my checkout. Ah well... still waiting I guess.

So I am trying to figure out if in these harsh economic times if I should go for tiny dungeons 2e with the micro settings or just the players guide with the stripped down rules. I am very experienced GM. My goal is to play stripped down fantasy-weird physchotropic type of old school settings. So less LOTR and more Ultra Violet Grasslands, or Yoon Suin? Big fan of DW and WOD. But want something even simpler. The rules seem appealing based on the Example Quickstart.

Can you give a flavor of the micro settings in the full book. Are there going to be any weird fantasy type of settings like UVG or Yoon Suin type?

That's clearly not correct. We've reached out to DTRPG to get it sorted.

Hi there, I just recently purchased this wonderful little system. I had a question concerning the Assassin prestige trait: If your character has this trait, along with daggers as his preferred weapon of expertise, can I do 2 damage with every attack? Also could I use focus and death attack on my turn?
Customer avatar
Alan B April 15, 2020 1:11 am UTC
PUBLISHER
Hey Charles - Theoretically yes, it would do two damage a turn. And you can use Focus and Death Attack on your turn.
Customer avatar
Charles B April 15, 2020 2:56 am UTC
Thanks Alan. That's pretty powerful. So you would be able to possibly do 4 damage per turn assuming you hit. What are you general thoughts on balance concerning these prestige talents? I've got a player that wants to make a rogue type of character that can backstab. The Assassin trait was the only trait I saw that fit that play style but it seemed like it might be too powerful.

The Prestige Traits are optional (because they inherently break the minimalist nature of the game and add some power creep to a otherwise will balanced game.)

For a "rogue" style character, the "Stealthy" Trait is obviously essential. You could house-rule that when they are attacking someone from a position of surprise, they do +1 damage (or perhaps their attack is automatically focused?)

Perfect! Yea I think the prestige traits are cool but I would rather make them something that is earned later. I like the idea of adding +1 damage or having their attack be automatically focused. Normally if a rogue attacks twice and hit they would cause 2 damage. They could also use 1 action to focus, and then their 2nd action to attack. So there would have to be a 'benefit' to sneaking up on someone above and beyond what normal actions would provide.I just need to decide which makes better sense: the +1 damage or the auto focus or maybe...both. :)

Strange question on drivethru, but is there a goode place to discuss tiny d6 online? I tried to contact GKG to ask about it, but their contact form seems to be broken. I'm about to start a campaign and could use some help from fellow players (e.g., does anyone know if there are rules for domain management in one of the tiny zines or in the tiny trove)?

Hey Jakob!

Tiny Wastelands has Enclave/Settlement management rules (though they are themed post apocalyptic.)

You can also join us on our discord server (https://discord.gg/r52h8uB) or in our official Gallant Knight Games facebook group.

Thanks! I'm already interested in Wastelands, anyway! I'll have a look at Discord (no experience with that yet, but I'm off facebook, so that sounds like the best alternative.)

Aside from Mad Magicks of the Turned God, are there any other pre-made adventure modules in publication (or in the pipeline) for the Tiny Dungeon system? I'm just starting out learning how to be a DM and having the "create the adventure, encounters, etc." aspect taken care of would be great so that I can focus on becoming comfortable with the mechanics of DM'ing a game.

Hi Matthew! Quest for Dragon Spire is also on DriveThruRPG in PDF and is an excellent “learning” adventure both for GMs and Players.

You really should make a potion, item, and spellbook where it expands and gives examples of how you should play.

Hi all,

I played in a roll 20 game of this wonderful little system and really enjoyed it, except for armour....

My character had medium armour (stops 2 damage each hit) and due to this I was practically invincible, I can't even imagine what heavy armour would be like!! So before I pull the trigger and buy a copy for myself to run, I'm wondering if anyone can explain if we were doing something wrong or this was working as intended.

Kind reagrds.

Hey Wayne!

The armor rules that you played with are listed as an optional rule (part of a Kickstarter stretch goal for optional and alternate "unearthed rules"), because they don't fit neatly into the minimalist ruleset of the game. Instead, armor is handled through the Armor-Master Trait.

ALAN, I have been trying to contact you through the website ... although it seems to be broken? I am the guy from last week at Carnage Con, chatting with DOUG from VGC, about copies in Spanish for use in Panama as part of our NGOs efforts to teach children via Role Playing the importance of conservation in remote areas/villages.

I am traveling in the U.S. until Wednesday and then I head home. My email is: ezekieljakub(at)gmail(dot)com

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
