Getting to the library is a catch-22. You can't get past the barrier without the lever. You can't get the lever if you can't get past the barrier.

You need to think about the problem a little more. Examine your supplies and the surroundings and think about what you might use to get past the barrier.

I just ran this and it was a blast. Highly recommend. The one thing I would say is it's a little unclear how to run the alchemist that part is sort of left as an exercise to the reader so I would decide before hand how you want that to work.

I started this adventure up on roll20 for 5th edition. Ran it last session in this session and it worked extremely well. Will almost certainly use it again and with other systems.

Stats for the creatures/constructs in this? Just wing it?

It wouldn't be system neutral if stats were provided, since monster stats are not consistent amongst all systems; therefore, you would fill in the stats appropriate for the system you're utilizing.

That's a strange notion. It wouldn't be a one-page dungeon if the stats were provided. Aside from that, every referee should have conversion tables between OSE to WH3E to 5E to 3E/GURPS. Assuming that the campaign is compatible with OSR philosophy (i.e. encounters are unbalanced, combat-as-war), it works really well, and providing *a* stat block actually informs the porting, which is often trivial. Also, keywords / stat spikes can inform aspects for FATE and such really well. Idk. Stats are good, but expecting those in a one-page is... ...weird? :)

I have the opposite feeling. Rule light systems can fit many stats in a One-page-adventure, so I wouldn't be surprised by them.
On the other hand, for me system neutral = no stats. If there are stats it could be mono-system or multisystem, for few or many systems, easily converted or not. But system neutral means no stats for any system, only descriptions ("fire resistant", "can be dodged", "too strong for the group to win in combat", ...).

!I love this! I have tried running 5e modules but I find them too detailed in some ways, and not detailed enough in others. I was frequently worried I had missed something significant. It all seemed like alot to keep in my mind, and since I didn't imagine it myself it was hard to remember.

After running the entirety of Dragon Heist I realized the session me and my players enjoyed the most was a session that was based entirely on a single paragraph long description for a side quest.

The one page dungeon is just the kind of thing that would help me run more games. Thanks Ben!

I'm really hoping this does well and encourages Ben to write some books! =)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
