Pdfs are frankly, easy to acquire 'creatively'.
When I like a game, I buy it in hardcover. Over on the official website, it is offered in hard cover. But Kevin seems to be a fan of softcover.

I'd like to know, what's the view of the quality of the binding of his hardcover product?
My Warhammer FRP 4th edition manual cost me 70 bucks and worth every penny.
My recent purchase of D100 Dungeon hard covers are also high quality.

But I'm always cautious.
So, anyone able to comment on his hardcover manual?

I have Rifts Ultimate Edition and Palladium Fantasy 1st Edition in hardcover. The next one I will pick up is Palladium Fantasy 2nd Edition in hardcover. The two I currently own (and my son owns a Rifts Ultimate Edition hardcover as well) are all in excellent shape, The binding and covers hold up. I highly recommend them.

I've owned this book since first printing April 1996. Today I spent $200 buying all the Palladium Fantasy PDFs and I am happy to have them! However, I purchased this PDF thinking that it would be so convenient to quickly get to certain spots in the rules during game play, having this on my tablet or laptop... but it has no proper Table of Contents at all?? Guys, please, update this PDF and include what almost every other RPG PDF has had since forever ago. The TOC on pages 5-9 should be listed in the PDF TOC and the entries on pages 5-9 should themselves be links to that part of the book. Without that, charging more than $5 for this PDF seems... well, just not right.

Hmmmm.... I was just looking into purchasing this. I see you have yet to get a reply to your question. Not a good sign. Not good at all.

Agreed. There seems to be no interest at Palladium in doing this. I'm sure it would be a lot of work but, for what I paid, seems justified.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
