Edge of the Frontier logo

On a dusty street, a gunslinger stares down his opponent as the tumbleweeds roll past. In the distance, a train whistle blows as a bandito sneaks aboard the locomotive, her shotgun at the ready. In the mountains above the town, a prospector unloads a bundle of dynamite, ready to try for riches again…

Edge of the Frontier is a Wild West RPG, using the mechanics of the popular Star Wars: Edge of the Empire roleplaying game by Fantasy Flight Games (no affiliation).  In Edge of the Frontier, you can jump into the exaggerated “Wild West” of late 19th century America; a time of guns and horses, gold rushes and trains, cowboys and Native Americans. A time when names like Billy the Kid, Calamity Jane, and Wyatt Earp set imaginations running wild with tales of sharpshooters and bank robbers.

Edge of the Frontier contains six new Careers and nineteen new Specializations, as well as rules for new skills, weapons, horses, shootouts and adversaries to make your Western game come alive.

I noticed that Lawman:Bounty Hunter has a duplicated talent. Tracker is rank 1 and again in rank 3. Same benefits. Do you have a fix for this. If you post it I can repair it myself.

Yep, the downside of using the FFG system is that you have to use their strange dice. There are some free dice rollers online and as iphone/android apps that you can use, if you don't want to buy the dice.

I bought some FFG Narrative Dice and I also MADE a few sets. Here is how I made them. This probably is NOT original but here it is.

Search the Web for Star Wars EotE Dice Breakdown. This will show what the face breakdown is for all 6 dice (what is on the faces).
Get some small round COLOR labels (.25 inch) at least two colors.
Fine point BLACK permanent marker.
Gather up some of your unused d6, d8 and d12. At LEAST4 d6, 8 d8 , and 4 d12. but you can make more!
Use ONE color label for ALL the POSITIVE dice and DIFFERENT color for the NEGATIVE (I used GREEN for Pos and Red/Pink for Neg).
Refer to the breakdown chart and write on the label (Before removing it and applying it to a die - important so you don't make a mistake) the FIRST letter of the symbol (Success would be S, Threat would be T, TT would be double Threat etc). Yes, the T repeats (Threat and Triumph) but the TWO COLORS will eliminate any confusion. Use a BLANK label for the blank side. It will be better...See more

There's this that you can print on sticker paper, too.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
