A Much Bigger Problem

A Much Bigger Problem

A Much Bigger Problem is a short adventure for a
group of four to five 3rd-level players. This adventure is
designed to be useable in any campaign or world setting
and is implied to take place in any area that might
include some farmlands.

Included in the back of this book you’ll find the stats for
all of the monsters used in this adventure along with
a Player version of the map without Dungeon Master
markers for use with a virtual tabletop.

For the past sixty-seven years Wheatwinter Farm,
a small farm outside the village of Longbranch,
has produced an essential survival tool for the town—
a unique strain of wheat that can survive the harsh
winters of the region. However, for the past few
weeks something has been terrorizing the livestock
at Wheatwinter and the surrounding farms. Markus
Wheatwinter has defended his farm from goblins time
and time again, but this time something is different and
he has put out a call for aid.

Included in this adventure you'll find:

2 Brand new custom monsters
Ankheg Queen (CR 5)
Ankheg Hatchling (CR1/2)
Additional stats for all monsters needed to run the adventure
Full color GM Map
Full color Player-view map (For use with a VTT like Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds)
Multiple adventure-hooks to get your players involved
Open-ended areas for you to expand on and fit to your campaign
12 pages of actual content / 15 pages in total

Before you buy:

We designed this ankheg-themed adventure to be a fun 3-4 hour game session. Our aim was for a fast-paced, well-polished adventure that game masters can use in any setting as part of a longer campaign, or as a 'one-shot'. The combats can be tough at times, though we did include a few areas where game masters can 'crank-up' the challenge for their players even more if you have a group of players that enjoy that style of gameplay.

Thank you!

Any chance to turn this into VTT module in future? I could do it (for) myself but I think it would be useful for a lot of people who play mostly online if there was proper official VTT version.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
