The long awaited Post Apocalypse gamebook!

Decades ago the world was crushed in a disaster few of the living remember. You know that the key to future survival lies in discovering the truth about the destruction.

Your village was burnt to the ground by the Death Skull Gang. Everyone died – except for you.

With no weapons or food you wander into the wasteland – where only Death can enjoy your hardships...

Each game is random - each game is unique. With several different items and weapons to find, many problems to solve, you will have hours of fun play ahead of you.

Fast paced, easy to learn, rules. You only need pencil, paper and two dice. This solo role playing adventure is a new take on the post apocalypse adventure books. With inspiring illustrations and colorful descriptions, this game book gives you an interesting world to explore.

  • 50+ full page illustrations by Dvir Agiv.
  • Several different weapons with their own caliber ammo to collect.
  • Many different enemies to fight.
  • Trade with merchants.
  • Four different skills that are used throughout the adventure.
  • Random game makes each play different!

This is the third book in the Random Solo Adventure series by J. Pingo Lindstrom, published by PenguinComics.com.

Post Apocalypse is the largest book so far, with 224 pages. It uses a different and expanded combat system with skills, compared to the earlier books.

The downloadable ZIP-package includes TWO (2) PDF-files.
One SPREAD PDF-file which displays two pages at the same time - a spread. This makes it easier to see the full page illustrations.
The other PDF is a PAGE PDF-file with each page separate. This makes it easier to play the game on iPads, phones and such devices.

The PAGE-PDF might limit the illustrations, but the SPREAD-PDF might be difficult to navigate in some sections. Use the one you see fit for your device. Or buy the softcover version for old-school gamebook-gaming - released in January.

Has the softcover version been cancelled? I see posts here from 2017 so I assume the plan was for Jan 2018.

Hi Mark!
The softcover version is actually sold via another POD. I don't want to mention which one here, but there are options on the Official Site, where you will find the softcover version. The softcover version won't be up on DriveThruRPG in 2018, but might be published here as well, later...

I am a big gamebook fan and a huge post apocalypse fan, so was excited when I discovered this book, however I was very disappointed to discover after buying that it does not contain hyperlinks in the pdf so you can click to go to each page! This is a MUST for any PDF gamebook and playing without them is a terrible chore on tablets or computer.

I searched for half an hour for a listed email address to contact the publisher, but am concerned to find no such contact information here or on their own website.

I would love to be able to leave a great review of this book, and even more to have a great experience playing it, but the lack of hyperlinks (which I've been told their other gamebooks such as the Fantasy one DO have, hence why I expected them in this one) ruins the experience for me. What is more, being unable to contact the author/publisher regarding this and other errors is worrying.

Banjo,

There is a "Contact Publisher"-link to the right of this page, when you are logged in, with the direct email. Please feel free to email any comments.
Sorry that there are no hyperlinks. We hope to fix this in a future update.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
