Battlemaps: Slave Ship

Battlemaps: Slave Ship

This is the complete set of Battlemaps covering the whole Cottonmouth, the slave ship introduced in Blood Runs Cold adventure module. These battlemaps provide you plenty of space to customize and expand the adventure or to create one yourself as the Cottonmouth could be easily adapted to other adventures. In this accessory you will find 11 gorgeous battlemaps, one for each location of the Cottonmouth, plus the complete ship's floorplans.

This accessory features the amazing rendered 3d maps produced by Øone Games. The maps come with 1 inch square grid and are suitable for miniature and role playing games. You will find, of each map, two versions: full color and grayscale (optimized for B&W printing). Starting with this product we’ve dropped the line-art section. This is due to the fact that all of these battlemaps come with a stunning 150 dpi resolution. This will give you an incredible print quality. You can lay on the game table the whole Cottonmouth by placing together all the paper sheets.

"These are really fabulous maps, by far the best in the d20 business." ENworld

"These maps are simply gorgeous" D20 Magazine Rack

"We are now beginning to see truly innovative uses of computer technology within role-playing product, but this one stands head and shoulders above the rest for being both technologically advanced and genuinely useful!" (Customizable Battlemaps) RPG Resource

"Overall this is a product [Customizable Battlemaps] in a new realm and in a class of its own. That is for now. In the heated tile product niche market Øone Games just took a huge lead and other companies are going to have to get really creative to outshine them." Silven Crossroads

The preview image and overview maps look very lush, illustrated, and immersive, but the scale maps are low poly count CGI images with limited textures, and not illustrated. [...]

Great artwork and great cartography. The ship itself is good -- and it doesn't have cannons, making it work for a fantasy game. HOWEVER (and this is a big however), like many of this company's other products, they don't leave any margins on the pages. [...]

The ship is presented with a high level of detail and with a full color option (perfect for digitial projection). The ship is fairly small (main deck, one below deck area for slaves), so in most cases you will essentially use two maps plus possibly the [...]

Beautifully presented in both greyscale and full colour, this product contains detailed plans for an entire small sailing ship. It's the Cottonmouth from the adventure Blood Runs Cold, but naturally has many uses even if you don't want to use that part [...]

This is an acceptible ship map for mini fightings. It was the only ship - and I needed a pirate ship. I was able to refit her with some paper minis and make a combat rig of her main deck. The middle deck seemed unduly compartmentalized.<br& [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
