Echelon Reference Series: Witch Spells Compiled (3pp+PRD)

ADD TO WISHLIST >

The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game offers a vast range of options for characters of all classes. This is great when a player wants to explore variations on a theme, but it comes at a cost: the character options for each class have been published across many places.

  • Books (hardcover compilations such as Pathfinder® Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook™ and Pathfinder® Roleplaying Game: Ultimate Combat™, plus the various companions, adventures, and chronicles);
  • PDFs (from Paizo and from third-party publishers);
  • Websites, blogs, and other online sources.

This can be intimidating to new players, and inconvenient to experienced players. The Echelon Reference Series aims to make this easier for everyone by gather information for each class into a single book.

Echelon Reference Series: Witch Spells is a simple document that collects the witch spell list, and all spells in it, for easy use. The spell lists are broken up by level and school, and the spells of each level are grouped together and organized by name.

This is the 3pp+PRD version, containing information from the PRD and select third-party products.

This book also includes (as a second PDF) the "PRD-Only" version.

This is included for free in the Witch Spells (3pp+PRD) Bundle.

Echelon Reference Series: Spells

The Echelon Reference Series spells line presents a PDF for each spell list and spell level of that list, with a compendium to follow.

The individual PDFs contain the relevant spell list levels, and all spells in that list, for 3pp+PRD and PRD-Only versions.

Important Note: I have a policy for the spell books of bundling the compilation with the individual level PDFs (as shown with Magus Spells Compiled). If you're interested in a particular spell list, you don't need to wait until they are complete. You can get the individual level PDFs and the compilation will (thanks to One Book Shelf's bundle management) be free when you get the bundle.

Hi, I would like to know if there is more (or less) stuff in this compilation or the bundle with all the books. I wanted a single book, but if there is less spells/descriptions, I would rather buy the bundle

The bundle contains all the same content as the compilation, and the compilation is in the bundle ($0 -- I wanted to let those who got the level-specific titles already to get the compilation free via the bundle).

Either way you get the compilation PDF.

... and I would be remiss if I didn't point out that the bundle is currently cheaper than the compilation (which might be an error, but I can't fix it until at least after I get home tonight).

I will do nothing to discourage you from buying the compilation alone, if you want to avoid the other PDFs.

Why is the preview for this title the PRD only version? This is a problem with almost all of the 3pp versions as well.

The 3pp+PRD titles include both PDFs (the 3pp+PRD and the PRD-only). I never thought to see which one OBS uses when creating the preview.

This is not cool. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, I'll see if I can do something about it.

okay, quick look suggests I can fix this by having only a single PDF in the download. I could put the PRD-only in a ZIP file so the preview maker won't see it, or put both in and upload a custom PDF. I'll check with publisher services to see if there's a better way, though.

Hi Shamus, took a little longer than I expected, but I stumbled over a better way to fix this than I'd expected. The previews for all 3pp+PRD titles should now be correct. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
