Can these be used in a computer game commercially? They really look good as squares on a satellite map. I would be interested in using these for a post-apocalyptic game I am working on to go up on Steam, GOG and other online distributions.

Apparently.. Over the years I've bought every map you guys have ever made! :O At least the stuff posted to DTRPG, anyway. Do you have a Patreon or DevaintArt or anything where you offer new content?

Is there a way to lighten the bunker maps? They're virtually impossible to see.

Hi Gregory,

Let me take a look at them and see what I can do. I'll upload an update once I have time to fix them!

I updated it on the 5th of August. You just need to go into your Account section, click "all titles" (which will show everything you've purchased on this site) and should see the full files there for download under the title name. I couldn't zip file them, as the site wouldn't accept the file size. So I had to upload them individually as .jpegs. Take a look and let me know if you don't see them. But you should!

That is weird. I am going to email the site administrators and see why you can't see them. I can see all of them. Hopefully they'll contact one of us with a solution.

Do these maps contain a grid? The preview small maps don't contain one, and the free vtt maps sample maps contain grid, I'm confused :S

Hi Luis,

No, this time I didn't put a grid on the maps. VTT software like Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds allows you to create your own grid within the software, so what I did was place a size reference box that says 5' inside of it, which you can use with your software to accurately size the grid on the maps. Every 25 pixels = 5 feet of game space, so if you're not using these maps in a VTT software package, you can use that as a reference point to create your own grid. Please let me know if that doesn't help. I would have placed the grid this time, but the feedback I've gotten over the last few years seems to indicate most buyers don't want a grid on the VTT maps. So it seemed to me to be a waste of time with this package, since it's strictly VTT maps, and no printable battlemaps were included.

Thanks, Lanndon for the quick answer! I was hoping they had no grid, so I just got them when I read your reply. I like them a lot, but think the name labels are bothersome because they are very big, maybe the black border is too much, and in my opinion they take some play space. The size reference box is very useful though, and subtle! I already had the bigger version of most of these maps except the ones that haven't been released yet, but I wanted to have them at least on a smaller version so far, I hope their full size version are available soon.

One quick observation, I don't want to be a pain in the XXX, because I really love your maps: Wasteland V Ruins still has a grid.

Thanks again! Cheers from Ecuador.

Luis.

Hi Luis,

Great suggestions and I'll keep them in mind for the future. Going back and redoing each map to reduce the titles would be an awful lot of work, but in the future I'll try to do something different. I did try to keep them away from any major features of the maps though. I will definitely fix the grid issue with Wasteland Ruins V tonight though. Thank you for letting me know and for the excellent feedback!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
