This supplement details twelve wilderness traps that can be constructed from simple materials such as rocks, sticks, grass, and mud. Deadfalls, foot traps, grass scythes, and other simple but deadly traps are presented here with diagrams, descriptions, and d20 statistics. These traps are inexpensive and easy to build, making them ideal for guerrilla fighters, hunters, and bandits. Unlike other traps, a wilderness trap can be constructed in a matter of hours and at a cost of 0 GP! Once built, they are especially difficult to notice, being constructed of logs, rocks and vines, which are quite inconspicuous in the wilds. All it takes to build these traps is a little know-how and some raw materials.

Pick this supplement up today and find out how easy it is to add these inexpensive and effective dangers to your wilderness campaign!

Just what I needed. Late at night prepping for a session in the dark woods and didn't have much time to review a bunch of nature. I wasn't running a d20 game, so I had to make a number of mods on the fly, though. Illustrations were very helpful as ofte [...]

Fun little traps. I had a few others in mind and didn't see them, so didn't give it 5 stars - but overall it was good for the money and gave me some ideas. [...]

This is a great idea and it's remarkable to me that there have been so few suggestions for the game along these lines - which is probably why I feel such an urge to tinker with it. Though short, the coverage of devices seems reliable. [...]

This is a nice, brief, focused PDF that provides some helpful ideas for outdoors traps. The traps described are pretty basic--but then, they're supposed to be constructible with materials that can be found in the wilderness. Which brings up the product [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
