Go for the Gold!

This product is included on our newest initiative, the Go for the Gold program!

-         Every metal level (Copper, Silver, Gold, Electrum, and Platinum) that Legacy’s Wake achieves, additional content will unlock for everyone who purchases it!

-         We want to continue to support our work and give you, our awesome customers the best possible product. All content released from hitting Copper through Platinum will be free for anyone who purchases Legacy’s Wake bundle, regardless of when they purchase it.

We’ve already hit Copper! We’ll soon be releasing a supplement called Denizens of the Bridges. This supplement offers an in-depth look at several famous (or infamous) NPCs and locales in the city. It will be ideal for helping you breathe life into Skyfall. Each NPC and Locale will feature plot hooks, roleplaying angles, and ways to tie them in with our existing products.

When we hit Silver (tell your friends!), we will create and unlock a supplement on Corsair’s Drift!  This floating city is the dark mirror of Skyfall: dirtier, more dangerous, and twice as pirate-filled.  This supplement will provide enterprising GMs with a sandbox style experience, great for fleshing out trips to the floating city or perhaps even running an entire campaign on its shifting streets.

Electrum and Beyond? We have awesome content planned for each metal level. When we hit Silver, we’ll announce Electrum here!

How hard would this be to run with a group of 3 rather than the standard 4?

How hard is it to divest the insectoid races from this setting and its story/sidequests?

For the most part it would be as simple as swapping races out for npcs. There are a few instances of npcs being driven by something key to that insectoid that would require a slight rework. One of the side quests deals pretty heavily with the insects but it isbset in the distant past. You could either run it and assume that in the time since insects have disappeared or skip thatvside quest since they are designed to be skippable. We’d be happy to help with more detailed discussions on how to tweak feel free to hit us up via email through the our website.

I'm interested in running this, but I'm having trouble finding a listing of deities with symbols, alignments, and suggested domains. Is there one for this setting somewhere?

Great question! Here are our in character and out of character thoughts on the issue:

Skyfall is a massive port city with ships from all over the world / planes depending on your campaign. There would be people worshipping nearly every deity.

The senate quashes strong organized religion as a threat to its existence. So the religion that does exist is either smaller scale or has elements of secrecy and behaves more like a cult.

Skyfall was designed to be placeable in any campaign world. We avoided dictating a cosmology to make it as easy to drop in as possible.

The war for religion in the city sounds like it would be a cool adventure or adventure path down the road #NoPromisesYet

If you were looking for our view of what would work I’d suggest the following:

The biggest followings in the city would probably be tied to things like Ocean, Commerce, Storms. I can imagine sea captains following specific faiths holding...See more

That bit about it being placeable in any setting is interesting, because the look and feel does kind of make me think of D&D's Eberron setting, even the Mithrilpunk logo, to some extent.

We are big fans of Eberron. Also Scarred Lands. Shadowrun too.

Skyfall actually started life about 30 years ago in Chris’ notebooks. He and I (Warren) played in a couple dnd games and shadowrun and brought a lot of cyberpunk feel (hence mithrilpunk) Derek came slightly later and brought tons of ideas from many settings (mostly home brewed).

In our view at least it isn’t any one thing. ideally Skyfall is just over the horizon of any campaign world. One fan theory I enjoyed is that Skyfall is a demiplane of nautical adventure. Anyway you want it, it works.

Question: On page 164, Encounter 3 of Bovine Chicanery, the encounter refers to Grothik Wasp Riders as the enemies to fight.

I could not find an entry for Grothik Wasp Riders (or just a generic Wasp Rider) in the bestiary. Am I just missing it? Is it under a different entry (or perhaps in a different supplement)?

I really like the look of the whole campaign, I just noticed the above while outlining and prepping.

Just wanted to note that Derek from MPP emailed me and let me know that this enemy was changed to Smoke Boil Grothik.

Really great communication and service!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
