Kaiser's Bazaar - The Jeweler's Exchange

ADD TO WISHLIST >

In the same vein as Kaiser's Bazaar - Book C and it's lists of Wood and Metal, comes the Jeweler's Exchange! The Jeweler's Exchange is a massive list of gems, jewelry and treasures. As always, you can use this printer-friendly list of precious stones and gems to decorate the goods from Books A, B, and C, or make fanciful items wholly from gemstone! (Ever wondered how much a Diamond Helmet would cost...)

  • The Jeweler's Exchange: Second only to dwarven gem-cutters of the Underplaza, this is the market for gems and jewelry. This section contains over 280 real gems, crystals, and precious stones! Every gem is described in detail with a listing to search by color, Hardness/HP, typical uses, where they are found, and their reputed powers. Included are rules to value gems by carat and clarity; instead of saying "2gp topaz", finally you can say "a crystal-clear, two carat topaz".
  • Also included is a listing of 91 different types of jewelry that can be decorated with these gems and made from the metals, woods, ceramics, glass in Books B & C.
  • G. Gelmo Bumpytoe's Luckiest Razareezo (Halfling Luck-Charms): Luck plays an important part in a halfling's life; this is a cultural peek into the lucky charms and rituals of the halflings of the Bazaar to help give your games more detail and character.
  • Gudoba Family Fine Rings (Costume Jewelry): A family that specializes in costume jewelry that anyone can afford, working from a giant wagon parked in the avenue. A list of fancy-sounding but inexpensive trinket rings and an interesting family...
  • Horitsukeru No Dekore-Shon (Decorative Carvings): From the exotic Far-East comes the ancient craft of lapidary art. From jade bowls to ivory sundials, a listing of decorative art treasures and rules to modify those treasures (and the other goodies from the series!) with your new selection of gems.

Make your games more engaging and your life easier! Try just one of the Kaiser's Bazaar Volumes! You'll wonder how you ever managed without it!

Useful details. The details this tool can provide to you in your RPG, is very useful. Coming up with details of jewels and gems your players find in a merchant's shop, can be a tedious task. While the details may not prove to be particularly useful [...]

This is an excellent addition to any D20 fantasy game. They always come up with good ideas. It doesn't quite fit with the gems in the Dungeon Master's Guide. But I like their system a lot.<br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent< [...]

I have all the other Kaiser's Bazaar books and am very happy with the series. The Jeweler's Exchange is of great use for DMs that actually force their spellcasters to replenish their spell components. It is also of great use for gathering [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
