Hi! I love this "sourcebook", but there is a mistake in "Cardsheet" on page 2, because the Special Ability and Notes is the same like in page 3. :)
Best regards,

A great Product that adds a really interesting Martial Arts rules set to the core game, however the Creature Cards are in a terrible one at a time format and the issue of "Voodoo Pirates" descriptions being used has never been corrected.

I discover this original settings. In GM section there is a lot of interesting ideas to create a huge campaign :) I've a question about specific Power rules : How does "GpòsuìQuántóu" [Bone Crushing Fist of Chigong] work ? To use it, did I perform a normal attack with a martial style + in the same round I attack with Mind (Power Damage) ? and cumulate both results ?

In Gear part there are martial styles for a few races (crane, snake, monkey and tiger). Did other races (rat, bear...) have no specific martial arts ?

Hi there! This is Gilbert, the author of the setting. Pleased to e-meet you! :D Chigong powers work by pressing the "pressure points" called Xuawei. You can either do it in a "harmless way" OR adding their effect to a martial arts attack (just as you guessed). So, if you want to combine a martial art attack with a power, you first perform the attack and (eventually) deal the damage. No hit, no power! If the blow connects, you can activate the Power and deal the additional damage. Just as you guessed.

Crane, Snake, Monkey and Tiger are UNARMED martial arts styles. Different clans developed different martial art styles with specific weapons (Panther clan for example is famous for swordmanship. This is represented in game by the Weaponcraft skill).

I hope I was helpful, if you have any other questions please ask.

Ok, thank you :) It's clear.

I'll take the opportunity to ask another question : why didn't you develop specific races for this settings ? Characters are all created with same points, nobody have racial abilities (darkvision, fly...), etc... To be as simple as possible ?

Hi there! Sorry for the late reply, but fro some strange reason the system did not warn me of your reply and I just "discovered" it now by accident. :D Actually, my first idea was to create many different races just as you now suggest. The problem was: I devised too many races and putting them all needed too much space. That's why we stuck to the "fast and furious" format and took the "many different races" away. Anyway, feel free to tweak the setting as you see fit, adding as many races as you like. :)

First, congratulations on the game and on the setting! Second, I noticed that the notes section of the Jade Knight, the Snake Clan warrior and the razor bone demon (from cardsheet 2 pdf) are mistaken (copied from some monsters of the Voodo Pirates setting or the Kung Fu setting). Hope it can be fixed, great work anyway, will review when I get the chance to play, thank you!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
