This icon sets recreates the style of the classic 1e World maps and expands it with new icons for more terrain types!

Whether you want to use these icons with Hexographer or a general image editor (such as GIMP or Photoshop) or another RPG-related mapping product, these useful icons will enhance the look of your maps.

These are transparent PNG images so the icons can be placed on any map, as long as the software supports PNG. The icons are each large (see the sample below) so that even if you want to create a poster size map, the images should not need to be "scaled up" and lose their sharpness.

Note: Although you may publish maps with these icons, you may not resell, give away or redistribute the icons except as part of a map (image, pdf, or print.)

License:

  • The licensee may not use the art in another stock art/clip art product.
  • The licensee may modify the images.
  • The art may not be included in a program that makes maps or games. It can be added to the program by the end-user who purchases it him/herself.

Each month we've made 4 mini-sets of icons (battlemat, classic world/kingdom, isometric world/kingdom, & settlement) following a theme such as "Greek" or "Elven" or "Temples".

Each year we've bundled up each monthly mini-set of that style:

The monthly sets are also available, but from 2020 onward each month's icons are only availaible as one combined product. (The "Coasts" set from February 2022 has all the battlemat, classic & isometric world/kingdom, and settlement icons in one product/download.) February/March 2023's icon set is a little different--it has 100's of icons in only a "Ring Lord" world/kingdom map style.

Livres Scannés
Ces livres électroniques ont été créés physiquement en scannant les originaux et en utilisant les images obtenues pour faire les pages pdf. Chaque page est passée par un programme de reconnaissance optique ces caractères (OCR) afin d'essayer de déchiffrer le texte imprimé. Le résultat de ce procédé OCR est situé de manière invisible derrière l'image de chaque page scannée, pour permettre d'utiliser des recherches de texte. Cependant, un texte dans un livre donné sur un fond graphique ou avec des fontes manuelles ne sera probablement pas reconnu par le programme OCR, et ne sera donc pas pris en compte dans les recherches. Aussi certains livres imposants peuvent être redimensionnés pour correspondre au système, et peuvent ne pas avoir cette fonctionnalité de recherche de texte. La plupart des livres les plus vieux et en rupture d'impression sont dans le format images scannées.

Format électronique original
Ces livres électroniques ont été créé à partir des versions électroniques, et permettent donc d'utiliser pleinement la fonction recherche. De plus, la taille de leur fichier tend à être plus petite que celle des livres scannés. La plupart des livres récents sont dans le format électronique original.
