Can Do! - A Game of Meeseeks

Hey everyone!

I had an insane idea in the middle of the night again, so I wrote it!

Who here likes Rick and Morty? I sure do. I particularly liked the episode "Meeseeks and Destroy", just like everyone, because Mr. Meeseeks is really funny!

I got to thinking that "wanting to die" might a pretty good motivation for a character in an RPG, and Meeseeks are such simple characters they ought to be really easy to roleplay as. So I sat down and wrote this!

Basically, it's just a GMless microRPG where you are Meeseeks trying to solve problems. It uses ownership assignment for problems to trade responsibility around the table and has a really sudden losing condition, so it's meant for really short, silly like games where everyone just yells about looking at people and how they can do things!

Obviously, I don't own Rick and Morty. Adult Swim does, I just wanted to write something funny. It's just a fun, free game that's fun. And free. But not fun-free. Hopefully.

I'm Mr. Meeseeks, look at me!

It's a cute idea, but come on -- give us some problems to work with! :) At least a couple of examples for each card level (1-13)

Games like this are about pushing yourself creatively; they're more like improv games than traditional roleplaying games. Giving example problems would ruin the fun when everyone started leaning on them, which is why you have simple guidelines instead! It's not really about having a set of problems that are consistent and logical so much as running with the "Yes, and..." style of just running with whatever wacky nonsense came up.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
