We are working with Paizo to do something for folks who bought the three most popular of the original classes on, but that may take a bit to get arranged.

So, a question, how much new and updated material is included in her, as compared to your earlier Anachronistic Adventures products?

It's *all* updated, sometimes line-by-line. The classes are extensively revised. Even with the compilation of things like intros and the PL rules, there's about 20 more pages of content here than in all the original six pdfs. Some of that is campaign rules, some is equipment, and some is stuff sprinkled in every section.
We also sent a link for a copy to anyone who had bought any one of the three most popular of those books, to thank them for their support.

I have owned all 6 Anachronistic classes from this site for at least several months, but I didn't receive a link for this. It could definitely have been the fault of my e-mail provider, as until recently I was using AOL.

Was I supposed to receive such an e-mail? I have all the pdfs, though I received some for free due to participating in the "Tell Us What YOU Want, Get a Free PDF", etc. threads on I also purchased some. Though it seems a little weird for you to be giving away a $15 pdf when the original pdfs were only a few bucks each...

@Zachary: Each of the 6 classes is $5, so $30 total. Thus, this compilation with corrections & expansions is only half-price, which is quite fair. The move to give owners of the classes a free copy is very generous. As for your ownership of the classes, I think you have to have them through DriveThruRPG to count.

Depending on how many you bought vs. how many you got free, you may or may not get an offer for a free copy of this product. We are working with Paizo to do something for folks who bought the three most popular of the original classes on, but that may take a bit to get arranged.
Everyone who bought the 3 most popular here on DriveThru/RPGNow should already have received a link for a free copy here.

@PeterK I think you misunderstood me. I'm not saying this pdf is unfairly priced, I'm agreeing with you that the offer for the free pdf is generous.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
