The Warlock’s Journal is an interdimensional book that teleports from place to
place, recording knowledge in whatever location it finds itself. The places it
goes may be widely separated in time and space and even be in different dimensions
or alternate realities.

The handful of people who have actually seen the book more than once suggest that
it sends its information back to some central location, as they have seen the book
nearly filled with information, only to find it almost empty again, or filled with
completely different information, at some later point.

Of course, since there is no real proof that the book itself travels through time
in a linear manner, such analysis is speculation at best. What powerful entity
could have created such a marvel? Where is the ultimate repository (if any) of
the wealth of knowledge collected by the Journal in its roving, and is its creator
still waiting there, learning about the multiverse? It is, perhaps, better not
to know.

This PDF collects all entries to the 14th Warlocks Journal - 3rd Sepharil fragment - Nov 2014.

The Warlocks Journal is a contest that is hosted on several blogs/sites, each month it hops to a new host. The nature of each contest is up to the host as well as requirements etc. Each contest is compiled into a free PDF.

The 14th journal was hosted at Tinygork.com.

The contest was as follows:

Once again, the Warlocks Journal has found its way to Tiny Gorks workshop. I saw him flipping through it’s pages a few hours ago and i do believe he was mumbling something about artifacts! Now i know that Tiny Gork is somewhat an expert on something known as the Shadow Council. What… you, you don’t .. you have never heard about the Shadow Council ?

There once was… many fateful stories starts with these words and in this case it is no less true and yet it might still prove to be wrong. You know how sometimes things go awry between members of a group? Sometimes maybe even unfounded and based on misunderstandings or sheer paranoia? Well, i must be honest and lay it out right now that i cannot tell you which it was for this was a struggle between gods and cosmic powers. *
But, there once was a group of gods and powers that worked the planes as a sort of mercenary group, they could be hired by other entities, gods and otherwise influential beings and organisations in the planes. They were known as the Shadow Council and their pressence on the planes was a major factor in the whole political game of deities, gods, devils, demons and cosmic powers.

So here is what i believe the Journal is all about right now…
To shatter and absorb the Shadow Council and its powers, a former exiled member created a mighty artifact via powerful sources of Law & Chaos. When used the artifact shattered also and was scattered through time and realities. Across multiple planes and timelines the artifact was broken into seven pieces, lesser artifact onto themselves. *
Due to being created partly by the essence of Chaos these pieces tend to randomly teleport through time and space and take many different forms. The forces of both Law & Chaos are drawn to these fragments, some are even trying to re-forge the artifact as it is rumoured in some circles to be the most powerful artifact ever created.

One of the fragments was briefly in the custody of a TimeHunter who claimed to have found the piece hidden inside a song. Now mind you, it was not hidden within words on a page but in the physical manifistation of the song. It took an adventuring party singing the song at a specific site during a major event to manifest the item.

I believe that the Warlocks Journal is recording all signs, rumours, sightings, encounters and theory about the Sepharil Fragments.

To enter this months Warlocks Journal:You must design the current manifistation of the 3rd Sepharil fragment.

Enjoy and keep an eye out on tinygork.com for future contests.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
