Over the last year, I've created deckplan posters for some of the mid-sized ships from my Future Armada line. For sale here are electronic versions of those posters for use in gaming via computer or with a table-top projector. These are 24x36 inch jpeg images at 150 dpi. Two images are included: the "front" and "back" of the poster. The maps are at 1 inch = 5 feet scale with a grid built into the floor.

Additional images of just the Mourning Wolf and Shadow Wolf maps (without the labels) are also included. These are on a plain dark background and intended for easier use with Virtual Table Top applications.

Mourning Wolf is a small, versatile, and heavily armed warship. With multiple anti-ship weapons, missile launchers, and a dedicated fighter wing, she is capable of fulfilling several roles on the battlefield. Mourning Wolf is 274 feet long and has a volume of 5676 register tons. In her standard configuration she carries 20 crew (14 human and 6 synthetic). She and her sisters are light, destroyer class ships. While they can operate independently, the excel when operating as a pack. With the two poster images laid end to end, all three decks can be displayed in one seamless map. Whether the players are aboard as command, crew, or unwelcome guests, this ship will provide a detailed setting to help bring your story to life.

This ship is taken from the "Wolves of Albion" issue of 0 hr Armada Codex, also for sale here at RPGNow. That product provides details about this ship and a couple of variants. It also includes miniature-scale deckplans (on a plain white background) broken into pages for printing.

Demo documents and sample art for every Future Armada ship are available at 0-hr.com .

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
