Adventure in the world of Everglow, nestled in delicate balance between the elemental planes. It is a world of magic and mystery, where the fey are in control and the humanoid races are secondary. Foremost of the fey are Ponykind, who rallied behind their Queen to form the greatest empire Everglow had ever seen.

We've brought  ponies, griffons, felines, and other strange creatures to life in a world all of their own, where they are the primary PCs. Don't want to run a game all about ponies? That's alright! Use our post-empire suggestions to add ponies to any other existing world. Many spells, archetypes, and bloodlines are also usable by non ponies or other settings.

  • New gods
  • New spells
  • New class archetypes
  • New equipment
  • New bloodlines
  • New races
  • Now compatible with 5th edition and Pathfinder roleplaying games!

I’m sorry that this is off topic, but I was just wondering; will Griffons of Everglow become available again?

Nope! It got folded into Races of Everglow entirely. Grab that for griffon goodness.

I've bought the PDFs of the campaign setting, Beyond Everglow, and Second Edition Conversion Guide and was wondering if there's any discount available if I want to upgrade to the print edition.

Hello,

Just had the first player death in this system from a player that is death prone. As this is kind of a standard situation for this play, the group goes for the cheaper Reincarnation spell instead of Raise Dead. I have looked through all my Ponyfinder materials and have found several references in Princess Luminace's Guide to the Pony Pantheon to a Ponyfinder / Everglow Reincarnation Table, but I have not been able to locate the actual table itself. Could you please provide which book might have that table. Thank you for your time.

This requires either PathFinder 1e or D&D 5e core books, correct?

Been having a lot of fun playing this with a friend on discord. F2F RP stopped a while ago and my schedule hadn't let me meet up anyway. My friend and I are both MLP fans and wanted a way to bring that to dnd. We had tried Tales of Equestria Hasbro's own attempt at a ttrpg, but the plot wasn't on the same level as other dnd games we'd played before. I got this and more extras than I really needed to start with and over two sessions we've finished one full module and a mini adventure. We'll start another mini adventure next weekend and see where our ponies go from there.

I just bought this to take a look and while I've not had much time (work keeping me busy) I'm curious with pathfinder unicorns get unseen servant twice a day and light 3 times a day while 5th ed ones get light and mage hand cantrips whereas going by the show mage hand and light at will makes more sense? I can see telekinesis being too powerful for a starting character (though maybe part of advanced or master horn magic could work) but those two abilities are regularly used by unicorns.

Mage hand, in Pathfinder, does not do what you want it to do. It is an especially weak grabber claw that can slowly pick up and move an object. That's all it can do. Unseen servant, on the other hoof, can perform actual tasks for an extended period of time.

5E mage hand is a different beast, and was judged accordingly.

I was looking through the book and had a question regarding the "Unique Destiny". On page 15, there is a 5e box that has some extra features to the Unique Destiny, including an Ability Score increase, whereas there does not seem to be a similar box for Pathfinder. Instead, it seems the Pathfinder version just gives 1 extra feat. Can someone confirm if this is correct, and if so explain why they are different?
Thanks!

5e is a different layout than Pathfinder, mechanically speaking. Feats aren't even a default assumption, and are significantly more powerful when they are used, so giving one away would be poor balance, so we didn't do that.

So, I'm (quite literally) late to the game, and the Ponyfinder website looks somewhat broken. What will I need to try this out? I'm assuming the Ponyfinder - Campaign Setting book and a Pathfinder Core Rule book, is that correct?

Thanks! The navigation links all go to the "forum" subdomain, e. g. "Blog" links to http://forum.ponyfinder.net/wordpress/blog/ instead of http://ponyfinder.net/wordpress/blog/ and so forth. I could eventually get to the right pages by manually editing out "forum" from the url, but I guess this is not the way it's supposed to work. ^^ (Haven't yet checked out the forum, but will do that later.)

I, too, would like to see this brought forth to Savage Worlds. I have a group ready to go but learning Pathfinder is more than I wish to tackle right now.
I do hope you'll consider it!

I wonder if pony paladins still get the mount and if yes, what kind of mount do they get? A bigger pony?

A horse, just like a human. They can ride them too.

This makes no sense and is quite ridiculous. It clearly shows the spirit of the show in this but undermines the more thoughtful nature of the campaign setting. It is no deal breaker but an immersion breaker. On the other hand, I don't think anyone would try to make a serious campaign with a setting like this. For a fun one shot, maybe. But for that it is a little bit too expensive. A demo adventure would be a nice step to help people who are unsure about buying the game.

We have a free adventure, Tower of Misery, and free characters, Champions of Everglow.

If you don't like ponies riding horses, take the other option? Mechanically there's nothing stopping you from doing it. Your legs and arms are fully mobile, like a human, so there's no reason a pony can't mount a horse, physically. They have knees they can drive with like a human does, and they can hold the reigns in folded fetlocks without much issue if they want to. The one thing they lack that a human has are fingers, and fingers are not needed to ride a horse.

David, that really only works with the paladin, there is still the cavalier which is a bigger problem. Sure, while one can argue there is nothing stopping or preventing a pony from riding a horse... it is still quite silly and laughable to consider. Such wouldn't fit in all campaigns or with all players, one could even argue ponies would generally find the idea of riding horse weird or uncomfortable since horse are in many ways so similar to them.

Allowing for alternate features for these classes would be of benefit, and probably even appreciated by many.

There are choices to be taken, and class archetypes, to trade in your mount if you want. This is a table issue, not a mechanical one. The mechanics work fine either way. If your table doesn't like a pony on a horse, don't be a pony on a horse. There is nothing in the game that forces you to be so.

Pardon the bad English but is not my mother tongue.

After reading the book I realized q is a very good book, a book that certainly deserves to be on the list of fans, the affection with the editing. My only resalva with the book is the interior art, which is very jarring with the scenario that served as inspiration for the book.

Art imitates art Pathfinder, but deviates much from the simplest designs that comprise the MLP FiM. Maybe a different artist would have valued more the content. The case that best illustrates this is the map, which is very colorful and simple, without much added realism.

In the rule book is very well written, although I still believe that the lineage of unification is not a good design choice. I find it very hard to see Twilight and Candece with 20 levels of sorcerer, a model would be a more logical choice.

Still worth the purchase.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
