Country Brewery Paper Model

Easy to build: This paper model kit is easy to assemble, requiring just cardstock paper sheets to print on (110 lb. or 199gsm recommended), scissors, hobby knife, paper glue, metal ruler and cutting mat. It may look complicated, but every part of the Country Brewery is simple to assemble on its own, and putting it together is just a matter of building up the simple shapes into the complete structure you see here.

15mm to 30mm scale: This model is designed at the popular 28mm-30mm gaming scale, and can be shrunk down to 15mm, 20mm or 25mm scales by simply adjusting the print size percentage on your printer. Tips and advice for altering the scale are included with this kit.

Multi-layered PDFs: The Country Brewery features multiple texture layers, putting you in control over the final look of your model before you print. If you like, you can print several versions of this model and scatter them around your gaming table. Many looks are possible with this one kit.

You get all of these texture options:

  • Brick walls (herringbone or standard)
  • Stucco and broken stucco walls
  • Wood walls
  • Half-timbered walls
  • Wood-framed and brick-framed windows and doors
  • Wooden shingled roofs
  • Slate tiled roofs
  • Thatched roofs
  • Lots of ground piece options
  • And more!

Also comes with these cool accessories:

  • Large barrels and barrel stands
  • Crates
  • Wood piles

Software requirements: You'll need Adobe Reader to get full use of these layered PDFs.

Dimensions: The Country Brewery stands about 8" tall, and has a footprint of about 7" x 14", not counting the fences. It includes two ground piece options, one that is form-fitted to the main structure (without any fencing) and another that measures 12" x 18" (shown here).

Probably the most complex of Dave's models I've built so far, but it pretty much follows the same principles as the others and requires no more skill, just more patience. It comes with suggestions on how to reinforce and I strongly recommend doing so [...]

a really interesting model, and following in the quality of the rest of his works. though it says "country", it could fit in any "non-urban" setting really, not looking out of place ina small village or edge of a small town. [...]

This is an outstanding model to build and is very detailed. Even though there are many parts, it goes together real nice. I built mine at 1:87 scale for my train and made a few modifications on it to turn this into a small foundry building. I added a [...]

Excellent kit. I love the range of looks available with the different layers. I'm planning on 3 builds at the moment, one for 15mm, and two different looks in 28mm to support my dwarves. [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
