This module, exceptional on his own, still miss a very important feature. I found myself in need of finding not a number between 1 and 100 included, but an ordinal between 1th and 100th included.
When I sorted a 75, for example, I was unsure of the order of this number in the sequence. As another hint: roman ordinals, HEX codes, binary code and "Guess the number", a string of 100 "???" puzzles.

Ben. Will you be creating a complete series on other number sets?
I would be interested in the 1-4, 1-6, 1-8, 1-10, 1-12 and 1-20 inclusive.

Time for the Troll to come out of the corner and complete the series :-).

Thanks for the amusement.

Thank you Ben! You've single handedly saved my Saturday night gaming sessions. As soon as I can convince my stepmother to provide me with an allowance I shall purchase it.

What happens when I use a number? Does it become unavailable, or can I reuse it later if I need to?

All numbers immediately recycle unless you have the Orb of Numerical Supremacy, in which case you can claim a single number as your own, after you receive it.

I'm left with multiple questions: Are the numbers a random sampling, or do they fall in a Gaussian distribution (or some other distribution)? Is there any place to track errata? If so, will there be a second edition? And if so, will any of the current numbers change? Do I need to worry about the bread growing mold?

It's possible due to a fundamental change in physics as we know it that the numbers may change and thus prompt a second edition. In which case, moldy bread will be the least of your worries.

Ye cannot change the laws of physics, laws of physics, laws of physics;
ye cannot change the laws of physics, laws of physics, Jim.

Will this book be part of a series, or is it a stand-alone product?

If I happen to sit down and create some more numbers, I'll add to it. Right now though I'm negotiating the rights to the HBO series based on my work, which would slow down the process for tabulating future numbers greatly.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
