HighFell: The Drifting Dungeon Special Monochrome edition features a foreword by former TSR game designer Jim Ward and new front and back cover art by Peter Pagano.

Each of the megadungeons in this series (Barrowmaze, The Forbidden Caverns of Archaia, HighFell, and Dwarrowdeep) will all be presented with monochrome covers by the end of 2022. I treasure my old TSR monochrome modules and these remind me of those heady, halcyon days.

Hi, the Luft Banderlogs as listed in the monster section are 4HD,, In the adventure itself, their statblocks are all 2HD (with exception of the chieftain.) Typo or no?

Hi, just got all 4 books. they are awesome!
3 quick questions.
1a) Is there a map of the northern reaches that show where all 4 areas are located to
each other?
1b) if not, how would they roughly be located to each other? ie:
m1 m2
m3 m4

2) will there be a northern reaches gazateer/worldbook coming out?

I don't think publisher reads stuff here. However, he just posted a sneak peak of a North Reaches map along with mentioning it will come out after his rulebook and gazateer. https://www.facebook.com/groups/434718316655624/permalink/5754399584687444/

They are all placed on the old Avalon Hill game "Outdoor Survival" map, that was popular with the 70's D&D crowd as a campaign map (Gary used it for his before developing Greyhawk, IIRC). You can find image files of that map all over the place. Incedentally, Michael Curtis put Stone Hell on that map in his home campagin too (Conveniently in a place Greg hasn't used for his mega-dungeons, yet). So in my campaign, Stonehell is part of the "Northern Reaches" too!

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
