Is there a particular part of the rules you're struggling to envisage?
Generally, once you've set up the river, factions and landmarks, it's a cycle of scenes where you follow the "generate scene" with a prompt > act out the scene (use the adjusting focus ideas if you're struggling to frame them, start at Top Down to describe the scene, then zoom in until you get to individuals at 1st Person level) > work out what the impact of the scene will be and how long that impact will take to take effect, then rationalise this as a group- if you had a scene that revolved around a valuable deal, where two factions worked out a transaction and the impact resulted in the creation of up to 2 new unities or schisms over 10 years, you might decide that the deal you put together in the scene led to a new business venture between the two factions that allies them (you could even add in a schism that developed as a result of this unity, adding further tension in the city).
Repeat until you meet...See more one of the end conditions, or you decide to bring the session to a close, then discuss your hopes and fears for the city going forward, based on the new landscape.
