HopePunk Press was founded in 2017 under the name Sage Games by a pair of friends, Benjamin Quiggins and Audrey Stolze. The two shared a love of tabletop roleplaying and had been gaming together and writing prose for years before jumping into game development. The growing Midwestern indie game company launched their first system, Spaceships and Starwyrms, in December 2018 on drivethrurpg.com.

As a company, HopePunk Press hopes to create innovative and accessible tabletop roleplaying games and content. It is important to us that our games and products can be used by players old and new, mechanically-minded or story-focused, and in many different genres.

With the name HopePunk, it is our goal to bring that attitude of radical optimism into the games we play and stories we tell. Tragedy and hardship may occur in our games, but there is always a light to be found and a happy ending to strive for.
