Letters from the Flaming Crab: Puppet Show An Endzeitgeist.com review This installment of the unique „Letters from the Flaming Crab“-series clocks in at 22 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 2 pages of SRD, leaving us with 18 pages of content, so let’s take a look! We begin this pdf with, as always, a nice, letter from the eponymous planes-hopping vessel, before diving right into the crunchy bits – which, this time around, would be a new hybrid class – the marionetteer, whose parents would be both summoners and vigilantes. Interesting combination, right? Well, chassis-wise, the marionetteer gets d8 HD, 6 + Int skills per level, proficiency with simple weapons and light armor, ¾ BAB-progression and good Will-saves. The marionetteer can conceal the animated nature of a puppet – checks to Disguise marionettes as regular, inert puppets receive a +20 bonus; dual identity pertains the puppets. The marionetteer begins play with a Tiny puppet, the marionette. This puppet has hardness 3, 5 hp, 3lbs. weight and is ...

Deadly Delves: Reign of Ruin (PFRPG) An Endzeitgeist.com review This module from Jon Brazer Enterprise’s „Deadly Delve“-series for experienced groups clocks in at 40 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page SRD, 1 page advertisement, 1 page back cover, leaving us with 35 pages of content. It should be noted that the pdf comes with an extra-pdf that contains properly-sized, big versions of the maps – these are key-less and generally player-friendly – with one exception: There is a “S” denoting a secret door left on one of them. The PFRPG-version comes with a second, more printer-friendly version. This being an adventure-review, the following contains SPOILERS. Potential players should jump to the conclusion. … .. . All right, so this adventure begins with a ranger collapsing, talking about the village of Northam being razed to the ground – one of multiple settlements adjacent to swampy terrain. Trying to warn other settlements and find out more, the PCs will soon, in Mistlevy, happen upon the...

All right, so this adventure begins with a ranger collapsing, talking about the village of Northam being razed to the ground – one of multiple settlements adjacent to swampy terrain. Trying to warn other settlements and find out more, the PCs will soon, in Mistlevy, happen upon their first massive fight – with the lizardmen of the Ixtupi tribe – a somewhat quasi-Aztec vibe accompanies them and their culture as a leitmotif, but more on that later. To their shock, the PCs will enc...

Saga of the Goblin Horde (Savage Worlds) **Saga of the Goblin Horde** is a delightful spin on your classic fantasy game setting. Playing from the precpective of the goblins is a refreshing change of pace. I agree with others that the quality of work that Richard has put into this project is top notch, and should not have been free. I've paid for products of lesser quailty. Great job Richard, keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing further works from you.

Masks: A New Generation ** MASKS: A New Generation - Comprehensive Review by DropTheDie** Masks is another Powered by the Apocolypse powerhouse. A simple 2d6 system that uses storycrafting, drama, and continuous "moves" to keep the action and roleplay moving at a brisk pace. This "hack" of the PbtA system is all-inclusive, everything you need to run the game is included in this purchase, excluding the dice. Masks' general principle, unlike other Superhero TTRPG games I've been part in, is that all teenage supers are dyanmic and capable people struggling to make the world see their merit and learn who they are and what they can do. Each player has access to a wide variety of playbooks that help focus narrative decisions in-game. A humble Beacon might be more concerened about "living it up" than being a crime busting superhero, or they might be trying to prove exactly how capable an average person can really be in this superhero world. The Bull might be a hulking brute that smashes her way through an...

DDAL05-08 Durlag's Tower (5e) This is a very fun mod to run, as well as play in. It features some fun combat and an interesting puzzle. It can be quite a challenge and doesn't feature much opportunity for roleplay though, so those might be a factor to consider for your playgroup. Still, I'd recommend this adventure, whether you're looking to play or run.

A Baker’s Dozen of Post-Apocalyptic Traders This document is what it says it is, and has no significant flaws. That said, it has little to recommend it in terms of creativity. If you want stock post-apoc characters this is a perfectly acceptable resourse. If you are looking for new ideas or inspiration, these are characterizations, with maybe one exception, you've seen before. You won't find any surprises here.

DDAL07-04 A Walk in the Park (5e) First off, the campaign itself has some really good ideas. It fleshes out the grung race a bit; making them a bit more dynamic and robust. There are some good mechanics in certain situations that made the whole adventure a bit more fun and out of the ordinary. However, I felt that the story needed a bit more fleshing out. The character dynamic was good, but the story itself needs a bit more detail for my personal preferences.

DDAL07-03 A Day at the Races (5e) The races in this module were different than those in 07-01; they focused less on combat and more on group ability checks, puzzles, and overall collaboration, which was a nice change of pace. My table really enjoyed the change of pace as they have been trudging through the jungle with the Hard Cover the past few weeks.

Delta Green: Extremophilia

Verlag: Arc Dream Publishing

Delta Green: Extremophilia This adventure begins with the party being summoned to a meeting at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. Any party members who are not Federal Agents already are hired as FBI consultants. The ostensible task is to investigate the death of a local law enforcement officer who appears to have died from heavy metal poisoning, but it's all rather odd. That usually takes some time, but he became ill and died in a couple of days, and hadn't been in contact with any heavy metals anyway. The Introduction explains in a very few words what the problem actually is, then launches into getting the party tasked and onto the scene. Apart from a loose timeline of what NPCs would do unless the party interferes with them, the rest of the book contains information you can draw upon depending on what the party decides to do. Despite this apparently free-form nature, there are some things the party will need to pick up on, although the necessary lines of inquiry ought to be pretty obvious once the investig...

Vornheim: The Complete City Kit I don't care for the author or a good deal of what he stands for (at least as he presents himself online), but that doesn't detract one whit from the ingenuity or creativty of this book. After I bought this I stopped looking at other city building guides. It's a truly solid, imaginative product, excellent for unchaining one's imagination.
