IRONCLAW: Book of Horn & Ivory (BETA)
von Christopher C.
Verlag: Sanguine Productions

IRONCLAW: Book of Horn & Ivory (BETA) Ah, a new Iron Claw book. More animal people, new landmasses and settings to explore, and new gripes about editing. It's Iron Claw. If you already like this system this book is worth picking up. It's not as expansive as the Book of Jade and it doesn't expand the players toolbox the same way the Book of Mysteries does, but it adds another 20 species to play with, including more birds and reptiles, and new wave of careers, with the sandout being the bomb-throwing alchemist. However the big draw is the new setting and the new Warfare system. The Warfare system simplified compared to a table top wargame, though whether you want to see that as streamlined or stripped down is up to you. However unless your playgroup is full of armchair generals who want a meaty wargame this will be plenty. It also adds a new rule that basically boils down to a "Not Cool" card. An option rule that gives each player the power to pause the game when something in it touches a nerve. It's a neat idea, and...

Z-Land Beta Document I've Spent a long time Speculating pen and paper sessions but I never really crossed into the realm of actually playing one, and Z-Land has inspired me to gm my first game. Its Highly customizable even at the beta level with Clear set of rules that can account for any situation in game, and with a promise of more to come I'm sold on the idea of Z-Land

Veins of the Earth This book is rad as hell. Some content is a little too silly for my campaign, but might not be for yours. It can all be tweaked anyway. And the art is fantastic. A++ would buy again.

T5 Traveller5 Core Rules Book (759 pages)

T5 Traveller5 Core Rules Book (759 pages) For me, I really want to like and recommend this product. I've been a fan of Traveller since the first small box, as it was the first actual role-playing game I ever purchased. That being said, I realize that I am somewhat biased, but Traveller5 is really hard to recommend to all but the most die-hard Traveller aficionados. I’ll start with the positive. Traveller5 is greatly updated and expanded compared to previous versions/editions. The basic rules have been adapted to allow for more flexibility for characters or other intelligent beings that deviate from the human norm. This flexibility can cause some confusion, as a previous reviewer noted when sometimes attributes were written “Str C2 End” instead of the just saying “Str Dex End” – this allows for beings without a specific Dex stat to make the specific check. There are even sections on genetics for your character! The expansion also continues with a good system for the quality of items, which manages to apply to everything fr...

FC1 - Turret of the Frost Giant Nice one or two session adventure (3 to 4 hours each), depending on how you want to play it. I added this setting into my homebrew 5e campaign and it worked really well. Had to convert the monsters, traps, and treasure stats to 5e, but that was not hard to do at all. A winter wolf pet for Garr made the showdown at the turret more challenging for my party of 6. I'm liking the Filbar series and will explore some others to plug and play into our campaign. Thank you to the creators!

7th Sea: Khitai Quickstart Pretty cool storyline, and seems it would be easily adaptable to any rules system, which is what I plan to do with it.

Trains: Wild West I am rating this product with 1 star only because despite saying that the product is virtual tabletop friendly, it is anything but. In the link below you can see a comparison of this product (on the right with the nonremovable dirt texture) and another product on the left that has actually handled transparent images correctly. The trains themselves are fine, but with nontransparent jpgs the product is as good as useless to me (and others I'm sure). Note: I reviewed this product previously, and linked to a competing product I would rather recommend. However, drivethrurpg has determined linking competing products to be against policy. That's fair enough, but I urge those of you considering this product to look elsewhere, to a publisher who fixes issues that are complained about in reviews, instead of reporting the reviews which point the issues out....

Contraption Set One: The Black Unicorn vs Thugs

Contraption Set One: The Black Unicorn vs Thugs A nice, clean set with excellent character art, I bought this set with no idea who the Black Unicorn is and I still don't know. I run a 2e AD&D campaign set in 1890 on an alternate version of Earth and needed figures for a good steampunk setting. David's Contraption sets were just the ticket. I bought sets 1 & 2 and hope there will be more. I don't know quite what to do with the Black Unicorn, but the 44 thugs, er, gentlemen that accompanied him have made quite a contribution to my campaign. The blokes handling those chains were a bit of a bother to cut out, I recommend a fresh blade when you start on them....

DDAL07-01 A City on the Edge (5e) Loved the adventures. I ran them a few nights ago for a friend and I liked them so much that I bought them my self. The one down side I have is they do tend to run long. Id say they are Five 90min adventures. I loved number 2 especially but I am bias tword that faction. I was able to work it into our hard cover adventure (ToA) with out much work at all.

Changeling: The Dreaming 20th Anniversary Edition I've never played Changeling before, nor read the rules set for it (though am an avid fan of other WOD products) so when this became available to kickstart I was more than happy to do so. I recieved the backer PDF a while ago and read it, and I have to say I was not disappointed. Reading it was a bit daunting at first but I persevered and encountered so many cool new aspects of the World of Darkness, so I recommend this to any WOD fan -either as a game in its own right, or as an almost monster manual for any of the other WOD products. I wrote a fullr eview on my website, which you can read [HERE ](https://itsmorethanjustgaming.com/2017/09/15/change-

Everyman Minis: Deific Passengers An Endzeitgeist.com review This Everyman Mini clocks in at 9 pages, 1 page front cover, 1 page editorial, 1 page advertisement, 3.5 pages of SRD, leaving us with 2.5 pages of content, so let’s take a look! All righty, first things first: You need Paranormal Adventures to use this pdf. The content herein represents an expansion for the Vessel class – think of these guys basically as the equivalent of the Demons and Angels from the Supernatural TV Series, with more control for the person hosting them. The class basically represents beings that are possessed by so-called passengers. A big and intentional hole in the portfolio of the class, at least as far as I’m concerned, is addressed herein. The original vessel class does not have an option to be possessed by a deity as a passenger spirit – considering the diverging levels of omniscience/omnipotence of deities throughout different campaign settings, this makes sense: Direct involvement in the realms of mortals may break a c...

Town Backdrop: Dulwich An Endzeitgeist.com review This town backdrop clocks in at 14 pages, 1 page front cover, 2 pages of advertisement, 1 page editorial, 1 page SRD, 1 page back cover, leaving us with 8 pages of content, so let’s take a look! In the Duchy of Ashlar, near the infamous (and superbly-written) Gloamhold, there looms a great salt marsh, and above it, there is the bustling, booming trade town of Dulwich, which is anything but dull. … Sorry. I just couldn’t help myself. Bad puns from reviewers aside, Dulwich exists in interesting times for the duchy: A veritable torrent of lumber from the forest helps keep the coffers of its citizens full, and if the machinations of mayor Wido Gall, one of the major players seeking to establish control over the village of Longbridge (one of the finest villages in the classic Village Backdrop series). It should also be noted that the town is situated rather close to the Shunned Valley, where an excellent beginner’s adventure released by Raging Swan P...
