Mini-Dungeon #039: We All Start Somewhere

Mini-Dungeon #039: We All Start Somewhere An Endzeitgeist.com review This pdf clocks in at 2 pages and is a mini-dungeon. This means we get 2 pages content, including a solid map and all item/monster-stats hyperlinked and thus, absent from the pdf, with only deviations from the statblocks being noted for the GM. Oh, and the series now comes in an archive that also contains...*drumroll* a .tif-version of the map! Yeah, that\'s pretty amazing Since this product line\'s goal is providing short diversions, side-quest dungeons etc., I will not expect mind-shattering revelations, massive plots or particularly smart or detailed depictions, instead tackling the line for what it is. Got that? Great! This being an adventure-review, the following contains SPOILERS. Potential players may wish to jump to the conclusion. ... .. . Still here? All right! Let\'s face it - if most of us were to embark upon the life of an adventurer, we\'d not look for Rappan Athuk, the Darkest Dungeon or a similar hell-hole to sta...

Big List of RPG Plots \"If this little item isn\'t in your GMing toolkit yet, it\'s time to amend that.\" Truth in adventising. I\'ve had this gem in my GMing notebook(s) for years; it\'s a must have, and a bargain at twice the price.

HG3D Nexus of the Damned This thing is epic. A good quality clear filament, some LED\'s, a little engineering, and you\'ve got an EPIC light up portal. I\'ve never had players who steered away from a challenge before. They took one look at this and said \"if you\'ve gone that far to make something super awesome, it must be certain death\" If you want a C\'thulu or interplanar portal, this is the one. easily the best buy I\'ve made this year. 5/5

HG3D Throne of Forlorn Perfect for the big baddie at the end of your dungeon! RPG\'ers rejoice! This throne is a pretty solid example of the type of objects that turn a good game into a memorable and great game. I\'ve only seen a handful of terrain extras that make people at the table say \"wow\" and this was one of them. 5/5.

HG3D Storage & Household Bundle Pack The difference between a map and terrain is the details. No building, dungeon, port, house, or diarama is complete without storage! Cabinets, tables, chairs, boxes, and cover really add depth and flavor to a game. If you are into RPG\'s, modeling, or dollhouse craft, these are great! They scale nicely, and have enough character and pop to bring a little something extra at the table. 5/5

HG3D Dungeon & Worship Bundle Pack The bundle pack is a pretty solid deal. It has enough variety and unique art to ensure a fantastically decorated dungeon, church, castle keep, or dollhouse--whatever project you\'re working on! The Hobgoblin crew definitely has a lot of passion and puts out a quality line of art. 5/5.

Into the Wintery Gale: Wrath of the Jotunn AAW Games brings us a new adventure with Into the Wintery gale: Wrath of the Jotunn. For fans of tv shows like Vikings and The Last Kingdom, this adventure will provide ample opportunities to get one\'s Viking on! The art by Jason Rainville, Mates Laurentiu, and Tommi Salama is utterly breathtaking!

Monster Pack 1 I could run a whole adventure based on every monster in here. I helps that I get more than a stat block too. The \"further adventure\" part after every stat block gives a few ideas for where to take my game, take them or leave them. Nine of the ten can be dropped into almost any game. And the other one? Well, no spoilers, but my group had a big laugh!

Founder's Fen

Founder's Fen A fresh take on the adventure module. I cut my teeth playing 2nd edition and I\'ve played every version since. I have fond memories of those old, blue map adventure modules. But, if I had to nitpick what I had back then, it would be that they held my hand too much. If I went off script, I risked throwing the storyline out of whack. Founder\'s Fen let me stretch my legs while still providing a much needed scaffold around which to build several sessions. I surprised myself numerous times when I went totally off script for an hour or more at a time based on one sentence in a location description. I could never do that with those old 2e modules! I wish I had a bookcase full of this kind of adventure....

Dungeon Encounters This really brought the **dungeon** back to my game. My party likes to wander out of the adventures I write and this was the perfect tool to have on hand. Every encounter has a short description, short enough for me to read in the moment to decide if it fit in my session. When I\'m DM, I don\'t like to be caught flatfooted because I had a blank spot on my map. This is a permanent addition to my DM bag of tricks.

T4 Marc Miller's Traveller
von Rory H.
Verlag: Game Designers' Workshop (GDW)
Hinzugefügt am: 01/10/2017 19:46:49
T4 Marc Miller's Traveller This was never quite as bad as critics made it out to be - although the core task system being roll-under does create some issues in the game (the clunky rolling of ‘half dice’, and the increased emphasis of Characteristic scores over Skills). There is quite a bit of errata too, and some of the text needs repeat reading to make any sense of it. So it could have done with a lot more editing. There are, however, some very attractive colour plates of starship imagery in here, and while the rest of the layout isn’t flash - it’s not weak either. The cover is nice too and, at it’s core, this is actually a pretty good edition of the game to base star-travelling adventures from. Character generation is fun (as in the best Traveller editions) and the world and starship generators are pretty much the same as in all editions. If you want a more concise attempt at an authentic version of Marc Miller’s personal vision of his own game than T5, then this will serve you well. ...

Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle (D&D Next)
von Daniel L.
Verlag: Wizards of the Coast
Hinzugefügt am: 01/10/2017 18:18:25
Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle (D&D Next) Discovered this adventure recently. It\'s excellent - well written, with a balanced combination of role-playing opportunities, dungeon-delving combat, and overland travel. It has the \'feel\' of one of the early AD&D 1st edition modules - and I mean that in a good way. There\'s a coherent plot that spans four mini-adventures, which provides lots of opportunity for \'sandboxing\' in the region and character growth, without those adventures feeling random. Highly recommended.
