I've come to have pretty high expectations for e-Adventure tiles, but this one disappointed me a bit. The layouts of the 20 tiles are reasonably inventive and very reusable, and I appreciate Ed Bourelle's inclusion of sand drifts, tents, and a couple of clearly artificial arrangements of stone. Unfortunately, certain aspects of the tiles appear artificial when they shouldn't. Many of the boulders appear to be flat on the side facing away from the viewer, rather than a more natural round shape. More noticeably, and more displeasingly, the texture with which Ed filled the boulders cuts across different stones, undermining their ability to appear to be separate objects. This is especially obvious on tile 4, where a dark striation flows unbroken across one boulder, onto the boulder below, and then onto a third boulder, and on tile 6, where a light streak produces a similar effect. This oversight mars an otherwise excellent product. (Ed also need to remove the period after "com" in the URL on the first page, and to grant permission to print the "PDF" instead of the "mDBFrial" in the legal text.)
