To my knowledge very few publishers have tackled additions to the d20 Modern air vehicles in the rulebook/SRD and this is a good choice to develop. The PDF contains both a real-world history and technical description of all variants of the Cobra, and a smaller section of game stats. Both are thorough and accurate as far as I can see, describing the gunship's roles and qualities without machismo or over-enthusiasm, a rare and praiseworthy thing in the military RPG genre.

DISLIKED: +4 to Defence for a narrow fuselage seems excessive. The initiative and manoeuvre characteristics and hardness also look pumped up from the examples in d20 Modern. If the authors find the SRD helicopter stats wanting, the stat blocks of a product like this are not the place to revise the system's assumptions.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
This is a decent review of the history of the service history of the Cobra. I had never realized the evolution that aircraft can take, from the prototype to the service model refits.

I hope that more vehicle histories can be put out. My Janes Aircraft just doesn't have this much detail (being only a page per entry).

The weapon stats have an asterisk for their weight, purchase DC, and restriction. It would have been better had those columns not been on the table in the first place, but that is only my disdain for redundancy speaking.

LIKED: A good overview of the "life" of the Cobra and Super Cobra.

DISLIKED: Some pictures would have been nice, but I assume that it would be hard to get them due to copyright purposes. But for those that played with G.I. Joe as a kid, this is the "Dragonfly" flown by Wild Bill; it would have been more fitting for COBRA to have it, though (given its name).

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
