I can't say enough good things about the Arion paper figures. The artwork is glorious, and the inclusion of bi-fold and tri-old figures is a great plus. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. A stellar effort, which is all I'd ever expect from Arion Games.

I realize I post the same comments for each of the sets I've reviewed, but I really do mean it. These sets are amazing! Try one; you won't be disappointed

Excellent value for you money. Arion Games is a great source for inexpensive, light weight and hard-to-find props. Their historical, medieval, pulp, modern and scifi paper minis look good and add an extra element to gaming. I use both plastic/metal minis and paper minis. The option of flat or tri-fold is great- the tri-fold fit better with the 3D minis i have, but the option for flat is nice to have.

The quality of these figures is outstanding. Great for any RPG in this period or even as paper miniatures for a tabletop wargame. I'm waiting for some egyptian foes such as Hittites to be put forward.

If you are like this reviewer, you have neither the desire, or space, or cash, to ?collect? traditional miniatures. Yet, with the tactical combat systems used in many game systems these days, being able to bust out the battle mat and a set of minis is often necessary. Thus you find yourself looking for a practical and inexpensive option for your miniatures needs. Paper miniatures meet this need. When they are packaged as a PDF, you are provided with a readily available source of minis for your games, being able to print as many of a particular figure as you need, without having to invest too much money in them, or time and effort, in the case of those who paint their minis. It also saves you from being upset if one of your minis ends up mired in a quicksand of spilled soda and Cheetos crumbs, or is dashed to the floor and crushed under the foot of some boisterous gamer exclaiming ?Foul Beast, do you rue attacking Krunk, do you RUE It?? In short, paper minis are an attractive option for their low cost and convenience, and are also logical options for collectors needing a particular miniature, or several of them, for their game.

The figures in Arion Games? miniatures sets come in 3 styles, ?A-frame?, ?Flat?, and ?Triagonal?. The ?A-frame? and ?Flat? figures can be constructed from the same sheets, depending on how they are cut out. The ?Triagonal? minis are constructed from a separate sheet. These construction choices provide additional options in preparing your minis for use in the game, major characters or monsters can be constructed as the ?Triagonal? versions to provide a more visual flair, and to emphasize their importance. Other figures can be done as ?A-Frame? or flat versions to make them easier to handle or distinguish them from each other, thus providing a functional use beyond their graphical characteristics.

The instructions are easy to follow and assembling the minis is quick and painless, just requiring a bit of work with scissors and some glue. There are also instructions provided on how to prepare a custom sheet of figures to meet your specific needs. The minis look good, even when printed on plain paper. Each figure is drawn from a 3D rendering (done in Poser using figures provided by DAZED, according to the credits), providing sharp detail and life-like shading, even when printed.

This 3 page PDF (7 with cover & assembly instructions) provides a set of paper miniatures drawn from historical Egyptian figures, with some mythical Egyptian figures thrown in as well. The set includes a Pharaoh, Priest, Nubian Guard, Queen, Priestess, Noblewoman, Charioteer, Archer, Boy, and General figures. It also includes 4 different Soldier figures, a Chariot figure, drawn to scale. There are a Mummy, Sphinx, and ?Anubite? figure included as well, again, scaled to the relative size.

Overall, this is an excellent product, providing a nice selection of good looking figures in a variety of styles for your miniature needs. Adding in the fact that you can print as many as you need, and prepare your own figure sheets, this is excellent value as well. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for some historical Egyptian figures for their mini needs.

The Egyptian entry in the paper miniatures line from Arion Games is a welcome addition to the game collection of any roleplayer or war game enthusiast who favors historical settings. As it stands, historical miniatures are in rather short supply when compared to the varied range of fantasy miniatures available at most hobby shops, so the folks at Arion Games may have really hit on something here.

Rather than spend scads of money to supplement my historical miniatures collection with figures that I?ll likely use once or twice, Arion Games has provided me with the attractive option of spending a reasonable $3.00 to do the same thing. As the first company to offer a vast range of historical paper miniatures Arion Games is filling a niche in the hobby that has long been ignored and, in doing so, they deserve to be noticed for their efforts.

What about the minis themselves? Of exceptionally high quality, these full-color minis are presented in 3 different formats (a-frame, flat stand-ups, and tri-fold), making them both graphically pleasing and functional. Depicting a range of characters from charioteers to priests, as well as mummies and other creatures of mythic Egypt, these miniatures cover all of the ground that one would hope might be covered by a product called ?Egyptians?.

If you?re a fan of historical settings, but you?re sick of paying through the nose for hard to find historical miniatures, then this product is for you. For $3.00 you get three pages of beautiful, reusable, full-color Egyptian-themed miniatures and three pages of detailed instructions on how to cut, fold, and base them for use in your games. For $3.00, you?re getting one heck of a good deal. <br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: The quality graphic rendering of the minatures themsevles. The historical subject matter.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Nothing. As a fan of historical war games, I'm hooked. <br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>

These are cool, very, very cool. Maybe it is just because the whole egyption style appeals to me but this lot are well worth picking up, the gurads/soldiers etc would make for half decent tribal warriors in many settings, the priests and other important peoples will always find a use in games with an occult/horror feel to it and well strangely enough they could also come in handy for those tomb raiding scenarios that crop up every so often or even just period scenarios. <br><br> <b>LIKED</b>: The ladies are particularly lovely and the level of detial in all the miniatures is pretty spiffy. The anubite just looks plain mean, I got to find an excuse to use that figure.<br><br><b>DISLIKED</b>: Its a really minor thing but some of the figures are coloured in light tones meaning they don't contrast very much with their background of white card when printed which is a shame as the figures are very pretty. But they are also supposed to pale and the colours used are appropriate so there is not a lot to be done about that. <br><br><b>QUALITY</b>: Excellent<br><br><b>VALUE</b>: Very Satisfied<br>
