Overall, this product wasn't quite as useful as I hoped. It's a little more sci-fi than I craved for my group.

LIKED: The layout of the book is well done.

DISLIKED: The artwork didn't overly impress me.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Disappointed
Having read the books by E.E Knight I was delighted to have a look at this. Vampire Earth is an unpleasant place and this book gives details on all of the character types that appear in the books and helps you to capture the desperation of humanity in a conquered world. The settings are good and the character creation easy, it can be used with any system of RPG that you require. My main grumble would be a lack of illustrations but it is a mnor grumble. If you like the books and fancy a dabble at some near dark future games this is as good as anything out there.

LIKED: Captures the flavour of the books and very detailed location/ game ideas.

DISLIKED: Not enough decent illustrations.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
Having read and enjoyed the first three books of the Vampire Earth series this is a useful addition to enable some roleplaying in that world.

Since it is by the author of the novels the contents are consistent with the books and expand on them in some useful areas.

Includes background, SW adaptations, stats and adventure seeds as well as sample campaign setting.

LIKED: Builds on an already well developed canvas.

DISLIKED: Variability of the graphics. Would have liked more pictures of some of the "alien" species

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied
Fresh from the E.E. Smith himself comes an information-packed sourcebook for the Vampire Earth series. The book includes information on locales, personalities, and traits for this new Savage Worlds setting, and gives a host of information. I would have preferred some better artwork, as well as some cleaner layout, but it is a useful book overall. Some Edges appear a bit overpowered, but when compared with the stats for the Reapers, it should balance out okay.

LIKED: Great overview of the setting. Enough material to easily run multiple campaigns of different types (Quislings, Rebels, Co-conspirators, etc.). Lots of great detail.

DISLIKED: Artwork was ho-hum. Some layout issues, especially with the text-only option. Edges look a little too powerful

QUALITY: Disappointing

VALUE: Satisfied
This is a great setting book that follows the published books very well. It allows play from all aspects (good or bad) and gives plenty of ideas and adventure seeds. It is a sourcebook so don't expect a complete adventure. It does everything it promised though and is a fantastic bargain!

LIKED: The wealth of material you get for play. A whole world developed and ready to adventure in!

DISLIKED: It would have been nice to have at least a short finished adventure that mirrored one or two of the books, just to get a feel of how to set one up. Mainly because I'm lazy though! You have all the info needed to play!

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Very Satisfied
