This book has always had limited usefulness for me. Basically, the book details the life (and unlife) story of a range of elders from the Camarilla, Sabbat and Independent Factions. Whilst it reads fairly well (as well as any WoD fiction), one questions how much value it will actually add to your game. Are you intending on using Etrius or Gratiano as a major NPC in your game? If so, how much detail do you really need about them?

It would really depend on how much contact your characters had with these individuals and what you were planning to do with creatures of such high power levels as to whether this would be useful to you; but after having this book on my shelf for over a decade, I can count on one hand the number of games it has been useful for.
