I'll start by saying I'm not a fan of the Mad Scientist class in general. One big reason is because there are so few rules offered for d20 Mad Scientist gizmos & gadgets. I was really hoping this book would fix that problem, something along the lines of Smith & Robard's for classic Deadlands. Instead, I was disappointed. The Mad Scientist rules remain as vague as ever, and the few devices offered in this book are not the really useful ones. Interesting material, in a way, but I wouldn't recommend purchasing it.
