This game delivered what it had promised: A chance to become demonically-superpowered cowboys hunting down the Devil. The only issues I had with the game is that the game itself is hard to play with only 2 player characters, as the card passing doesn't work as well, meaning both players would get a lot of conflicting cards. The other problem is just an organization issue, as the playbook was rather unstructured and disorganized. The questions about the Town and John Moulton should be close together, as they are essential to creating the game and the enviroment. The examples, while helpful, do need a brief explaination as to things like "how many cards are we supposed to end with in a hand?" and how enviroments/NPC baddies are supposed to work dice-wise. Having a full party of 5 was a blast though, and my players did have a lot of fun with it, as they had freedom to decide on the town and the Big Bad's weakness. All in all, I feel 4/5 stars is fair, as my players and I certainly had a lot of fun with it, but it lost a star due to unclear/non-existant guidelines, difficulty to play with only 3 people (The GM and 2 players), and poor organization.

Yeah, I can see how the character creation would break down with a small group. The game was really made for slightly larger groups (3-5 plus GM, probably). I will have to think about how character generation can be modified to work with smaller groups.

Thank you for the review and rating.
