If you are interested in incorporating some exotic races tied to fire in your campaign, the Races of Fire and Fury will provide some inspiration options and ideas.

The Genius Guide to: Races of Fire and Fury is a 15-page PDF (14-pages if you remove the credits/OGL page) for the Pathfinder RPG written by Owen K. C. Stephens and published by Super Genius Game. This is part of Super Genius Games’ Genius Guide line.

The layout is a screen-friendly landscape design, with cover art and 1-column on the first page and three columns on the rest. The races are in the standard Pathfinder format for such. The art is mixed full color and black and white with each race getting a full color illustration.

Races of Fire and Fury begins by talking about the vital place that fire has in our world view and presents three new races that explore the possibilities of fire and the fantastic.

The three races are:

Rakonar, a draconic centauroid race with an excellent origin story. The combination of draconic heritage and centauroid body give them an interesting mix of abilities combining speed with weak draconic magic. The Rakonar also have a set of six racial feats to choose from that enhance their natural abilities. (Also, brief suggestions for using them only as a non-player race are included.)

Sila, children of humans and being of elemental fire (often Efretti) they often face a difficult life as half-breeds cast out and unwanted. Naturally, they are aligned with fire and have inherited some tricks from their Efretti blood. They also have six racial feats which mostly improve their talent with fire and their natural abilities. A Sila template is also provided for Games Master use and fun.

Votanan, a rare dwarven subrace who live deep within the Earth, close to its fiery heart. They are an interesting and useful addition to the extended dwarven family. Sadly, they only get two racial feats. A brief note on other ways to incorporate the Votanan into a campaign concludes the product.
