This is one my new favorite DG scenarios. If you have a group that's heavily into roleplaying, you're going to have a blast running this game. Even if your group isn't as into that sort of thing, there's still a lot of fun to be had here. There's a lot of really well written NPCs that add some layers of complexity to the story, but you could leave any of them out if you want to keep things simple. It's also a pretty good scenario for newer players and/or handlers, since the events are pretty straightforward and the mythos isn't really involved in the story. I do wish that we had been given more details about the actual Laqueus Equation and the code that solved it, but I understand why the writers had to handwave that sort of thing.

Remember in school, when you knew you had math class the following period? Remember that sinking feeling in your gut that you'd get? "Aw crap, I knew I shoulda studied the pythagorean theorum just a bit more, practiced more advanced algebra... What if there's a pop quiz?!" Get ready to relive that feeling with The Last Equation, a Delta Green RPG scenario of modern Mythos horror. Step into the shoes of a Delta Green agent: a deniable asset in the war against the apocalypse. The Last Equation sees you investigating a horrific crime scene. An entire family gunned down by a college kid. And a number spray painted on the road. What could this all mean? In my opinion, The Last Equation is one of the better DG scenarios you could buy. It's pretty easy to run, but it still leaves a lot of room for groups to be very creative - or get into trouble! - at the table. And the mystery itself is pretty unsettling. If you're looking for a solid scenario to get your Working Group up and running, or if you need a reason to call some agents in from the cold, you can't go wrong with purchasing The Last Equation.

Excellent introductory adventure for Delta Green. For around 16 pages of content, they sure do stretch a long way. My group, which is very RP heavy, took three sessions to complete this. This was at 2-3 hours each. We could have probably gotten an additional sessions out of it.

I will say that the premise is wholely unique to anything I've ever seen in an RPG or fiction at large. Big fan of this adventure.

The scenario is decent enough despite several glaring errors, but the organization is terrible and there is no table of contents. Especially lascking was asny sort of GM's summary which would have tied the entire mess together.

The first scenario that exposed me to Delta Green back when it was originally released and it hit all of the werid things that I really love about the setting. How it's grounded in the real world and that how one thing, upon discovery, can catostraphically ruin the lives of everyone in contact with it. There's a beautiful nihilism about The Last Equation that is wonderful to run and play. It's a great mystery that isn't about a monster and more about the horrors of the world that lie just beyond human comprehension. It's quintessentially Delta Green.

I've run this game three times for different groups, twice at convention settings.

It's a good introduction to a more modern take on Delta Green than the 1997 Sourcebook, and a very different take on the Mythos.

For the price, you can't beat it for an evening's entertainment.

When my role-playing group play tested this module back in October, there were some factual errors that we pointed out to the people that we were play-testing for. Unfortunately, they did not heed our advice and left those errors in the module, creating a less than ideal adventure.

Dennis Detwiller is the co-creator of Delta Green, so it should be no surprise that I'm recommending this scenario. I'm actually unfortunate not to have played the game, but, even if you're also not familiar with the system, you should at least read this if you enjoy horror roleplaying or modern horror. I was intimidated, at first, by the adventure. It starts open-ended, with several important, though modifiable NPCs. A bumbling group of players can easily run afoul of them, making this a short scenario. However, experienced Delta Green roleplayers should enjoy the challenge of working closely with the authorities while maintaining their cover. Dennis Detwiller's own site has several free downloads and I'm going to check them out right now!
