Nova Praxis [Augmented PDF] [Fate]

I dont usually write reviews , but i had to write this one just to point that the authors have not only managed to nail a very good hard scifi fate based rpg game, they have also built one of the most solid, credible eutopian societies ive ever readen about (probably only the Culture books by Iain banks come close) The reputation based currency system and the "default" segment of the population as a sociological phenomenon justifies buying the book, even if you only read that.

Nobilis: The Essentials, Volume 1

The game itself is worth 4.5 stars, but mrs Moran hauntingly beautiful style of writing is worth half a star more. Each little entry , based on fictional books, which adorn the game has more sense of fantasy and wonder that most rpgs manage to cram in the whole work. One of those rare rpg books that can be readen once and again, even if you never intend to play it. It reminds me somewhat of Amber Diceless, another of my old time favourites. If you liked that game, youll probably like this one too.

Black Tokyo: Chastity & Depravity

The product is good with pretty interesting races and new feats. If you liked black tokyo youll like this expansion. Only one major flaw: the pdf is full of typos (and i mean full) There must have been some kind of processing error and some characters are printed as some kind of X sign (or at least the pdf i have is like that). It doesnt make it unreadable, but its annoying. I guess well get an updated version soon.

Incredibly well thought system, incredibly well designed game. I am an avid rpg collector and once player. Ive been collecting rpgs for about 14 years now. When youve readen enough of them, similarities between them start to crop up, and its hard to come with a moment of "this is really new and cool" feeling. Only 2 of DTRP books (and ive bought some really nice ones here) have made me feel that. One is Mythic Game Master Emulator and the other is this game. Youre not going to get a much better quality/price ratio than buying this work of art for 15 lousy dollars.

Malleus Monstrorum

Bad quality scanned image book with no bookmarks(and its a big book, bookmarks would have helped a lot) . Not worth its price by a long long shot. Fuzzy images, pages with blurry letters, in short it doesnt look like a professionally scanned book you paid for an staggering 26 $. Staggering for something this quality ofc. I hope they turn out a better version of this or ill think ill have to ask my money back to DTRPG. It is that bad.

I previously gave this product a bad review because of non existing bookmarks. The bookmarks exist, and theyre fully functional. I wasnt able to access them before because of mishandling the configuration of the pdf processor i was using. Ive given it the rating it deserves and i want to apologize to Inner Circle for the unjustified bad review.

Spiritual Warfare the RPG

Ive tried to keep a very open mind about this book, honestly i have, but i just cant stomach it. Roleplaying and preaching just dont mix well in my opinion. You aproach the evil heathen shaman. quote the scriptures, test his beliefs and try to convert him... If you roll well, maybe youll get a faith point and have a new member of the flock. If you roll bad, well thats tough.. better luck next time. If you roll bad when i GM a game the heathen shaman converts you, and you spend the rest of the saga sacrificing goats, painting yourself blue and singing blasphemous hymns to Yog Sothoth. Theres absolutely no chance of anything remotely like this ever happening in this ruleset. Roleplaying is about living different lives, being a different person, not putting yourself in an elf disguise and doing exactly the same things you would do in real life. I respect people who think otherwise , but theres absolutely nothing in this game to rouse my interest.
