The music on this album is a perfect companion to the ToC campaign of the same name: it's evocative and inspiring, creating a soundtrack for the campaign while still remaining unobtrusive enough to actually be useful. While it's designed specifically for the Eternal Lies campaign, the music would be just as useful for any horror or investigative game.

Absolutely fantastic! This album is wonderfully conceived and beautifully executed, easily on par with Hollywood film scores. The tone is perfect for a Cthulhu-oriented game. It’s a little more expensive than a typical iTunes album, for comparison, but I personally think it’s well worth it. The album makes very enjoyable listening even when you’re not using it to score a game.

Obviously this is an audio product and thus it is going to be difficult to describe everything about it. It is produced well and sounds good. I think it will add a lot of atmosphere to any horror or mystery game. The tracks are named appropriately and you can usually figure out what it will sound like based on its title. That helps when trying to remember which track you want to play for a tense investigation scene over an action packed race for the characters’ lives.

The music is what you would expect from electronic compositions. There is the brooding piano, haunting strings, creepy chimes, funeral bells, etc. I will say that this particular set of tracks is generally superior to comparable products. What I mean by that is that the songs aren’t “artificial sounding” or “video game-y”. They are pleasant to the ear and appropriate for the setting. I would definitely recommend purchasing this if you want to add some additional depth to your game session. If Pelgrane Press would provide permission to use this in my podcast, you will hear it in several games for sure.

I love it. This album is atmospheric, rich and full of subtle details and creepy effects. It creates a wonderful ambiance and I can see myself using it for a variety of games and encounters. This is certainly the best horror / creepy soundtrack I own, and possibly the best soundtrack (in terms of gaming resources) I have, period.

Wow. It's not often that I get to start off a review with that word, so I'd like to use it again. Wow!

Pelgrane Press has released over sixty minutes of music to accompany their forthcoming Cthulhu campaign, Eternal Lies. The Eternal Lies Suite consists of 27 tracks of moody, orchestrated music featuring addition sound samples. Created by James Semple, Marie-Anne Fischer, Mike Torr, and Yaiza Varona, you're going to want to check this out.

I saw this as a random, new product announcement from DriveThruRPG with a chance to review it and I am very, very glad I've taken the time to download and listen to it. This is a moody, eclectic and above all well crafted soundtrack which has the hairs on the back of my neck standing at attention.

The music itself is a combination of orchestrated soundtrack style classical music with the occasional jazzy riff thrown in to give it a film noir feel. The music is haunting and beautiful, with just the right blend of sampled sounds (wind, breathing, creepy noises and more) to amp up the shiver factor without detracting from the music itself. Designed with the Eternal Lies setting in mind, you will have absolutely no problem using this in any setting where you need to induce a looking over your shoulder, hearing strange noises, god-what's-in-the-basement! feeling.

The tracks blend seamlessly in to each other allowing for randomized play if that's the kind of thing you like. Standout tracks include Hanger, Tibet, In the Mountain, Traveling 1 & 2 and for extreme action scenes, Run! Is this really that good? It's going on my iPod and has been uploaded to Amazon's Cloud already, so yes!
