Steve Kenson wrote this Mutants and Masterminds adventure.

If that does not motivate you to buy Little League: A Mutants and Mastermind Caper for your Mutants and Masterminds group or one-shot, then you can proceed to read the remainder of this review, which I will try to deter from being a collection of fanboy appraisals of this remarkable adventure and its craftsmen, one of the best RPG designers alive today. .

Steve Kenson is the creator of the Mutants and Masterminds series, and it has been some time since we have seen an adventure room his mind. With little league, he shows that the Mutants and Masterminds brand is as strong as ever, providing us an adventure that plays heavily to the systems strength, which is its ability to give players creativity that they will find difficult to reproduce in any other system.

Little League puts the heroes against the legendary heroes of Freedom City, the Freedom League, albeit in a smaller form than usual. The league has been transformed by a cosmic threat into little kids. The heroes race around the city, trying to take out the powerful children before they cause too much damage. The catch is that they can not harm the children, who are just acting any children might that have been endowed with superpowers. The players will also have to take down the powerful villain, whom near god-like powers will need to be taken care of creatively.

The production and layout are typical Green Ronin affair – crisp layout, great editing and imaginative writing.

The Iron Gamemaster This is a fun little adventure to run for a one-shot or a session of an on-going campaign. Kenson does a great job of capturing the feeling of the Freedom Leagues iconic characters in miniature form and creating mischievous things for them to get into.

The Iron Word Little League: A Mutants and Masterminds caper is a great little super heroes adventure, pitting the players against a problem as opposed to just a series of creatures and traps. Kenson knows his system, and creatively invents an environment where innovation is encouraged.
