I just got the print on demand for this title today. I bought it with the pdf for US $26. What a great deal this was.
A classic, out of print hardback book and the digital version for less than $30.
The POD is good quality. While not quite as crisp as original printings and color not as vivid, it is still readable and acurately presents all the content. The interior pages are not glossy and the end sheets are plain white, but for the price, I am very pleased with what I received.
Published Greyhawk material is in short supply comparred to the Forgotten Realms. This book is one of the more recent (2007) books to present Dungeon Masters with useful people, places and plotlines to populate a World of Greyhawk campaign. It is set in and around the Free City of Greyhawk and within the ruins of the castle of the same name. It takes place after the Greyhawk Wars and the backstory involves murder and intrigue within the Circle of Eight. Your characters can meet at the Green Dragon Inn and explore the city and the nearby dungeon.
The authors are some of my favorite designers of RPG content and this fact alone would have led me to get this book. The Greyhawk setting being my favorite of those published by TSR (or WOTC) made this a must have. Greyhawk is a more human centric setting and a somewhat lower magic level than the Realms. This book is built around the 3.5 rule set and makes use of the set piece encounters popular at that time.
It would not be difficult to replace many of the npc and monster stats with 5e and still make use of the people and places herein.
I plan to use all the best parts in more of a sandbox campaign rather than use them as the adventure path as written.
