In reply to the reviewer who stated that this book does not appear to include images - my copy seems to be fine. Don't be discouraged from buying this book because of erroneous advice, as I was.

I own a hard copy of this book, and I like it and find it useful. I purchased the digital copy because I moved and the book is somewhere in between. This soft copy has no images, and it is a shame, because the boook is very beautiful. It might be my case only, although I purchsed three other books and encountered no problems.

I should have paid a little more for the complete copy, this is careless, and sloppy.

This book fleshes out a lot of things that I've always been wanting to know about the Exalted world -- e.g. mortal sorcery (thaumaturgy). It also has a LOT of options to flesh out the game and make the rules smoother. The power combat system is pretty cool, though I didn't like a few parts of it and the updated rules didn't list all previously printed weapons (though it's not too hard to come up with that stuff on your own).

The Merits and Flaws are pretty cool, though many of them feel like too much of a rehash from the World of Darkness. However, there are some really cool completely new Merits and Flaws too. I especially liked the section on the different God-Blooded -- I think this really adds depth and a whole new dimension to the game. Plus, it gives the Changeling fans a taste of what playing a Fae will be like, by playing fae-blooded.

Overall, I think the book is well-structured and provides some excellent stuff, both mechanics-wise and story-wise, for fleshing out the Exalted world. There are still some parts that are rough around the edges, though.

Sadly, the first supplement in the Exalted Line that truely disappointed me. It has little usable content, and wastes space on things of peripherial interest, at best. The new Resources are mainly of interest to the Storyteller, so why they called it "Players Guide" is frankly beyond me. Sad, but true, this book is a new low in the Exalted Line.
