I was expecting that one of the advanced classes listed "Lightning Swordsman" would give me a class based upon Thundarr the Barbarian. Unfortunately, it does not.

I feel very disappointed and feel that a better description for this product should have been given. It seems that the only way they expect to get people to buy this product which lacks any creativity in the classes is by being vague.

The only reason I didn't give it a one rating is that I MAYBE able to get some use out of it, but I doubt it at this point.

I hope that this review isn't deleted just because it wasn't a rave about the product. My review gives more information than the product description does, and I think we all know where the blame goes for that.

This product puts a post-apocalyptic spin on the Modern Arcana SRD classes. Some of the classes won't feel totally appropriate to your flavor of Darwin's World, but they're easy to spot and leave out. Others will add some very nice variety, especially for GM's wanting to spring surprises on their players.

LIKED: High production quality, interesting take on (most of) the Modern Arcana SRD classes.

DISLIKED: Editing was a little sloppy on this one, but not to the point of frustration.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Very Satisfied

A mixed review on this item: Idea wise, RPG objects always does a great job, and this has some good solid classes. However, a few of them seem to be a bit outside the 'wastelands' genre and more solidly in 'cyberpunk' or 'dark future' territory. I will use these in my next d20 cyberpunk game.

Production wise, this product is riddled with misspelling. None of them hurt the mechanics, but a few are painful to read. For instance, the Lightning Swordsman is refered to as the Lighting Swordsman, and the flavor text remarks that he is a rare "bread" of warrior. A few more editorial passes would have helped here.

LIKED: The ideas are great, the d20 mechanics are sound, and most of the classes are actually interesting enough to want to play as a player.

DISLIKED: Editorially, the typos were distracting.

QUALITY: Very Good

VALUE: Satisfied

A nice conversion of the FX-based classes in Urban Arcana into non-FX forms for Darwin's world. I particularly like the shadowjack and speed demon conversions.
