This is simply a great product and it makes an interesting and useful companion for Blackwyrm's Fires of War. For a GM interested in staging adventures or a full campaign in the World War II era, and being true to the comic book concepts of the time, if not all of its slightly off the wall nature, this is the book.

LIKED: The depth of research and knowledge displayed concerning the era in question. The fact that the archetypes included not just a Captain America and Sandman homage, but one to Sgt. Rock as well. Also, the mass combat system was remarkable well done. The Golden Age of the Freedom City universe is also quite well done.

DISLIKED: Perhaps too much emphasis on all of the Comic Book concepts and conceits of the era. Put another way, there is a lot of information about running a Golden Age campaign that looks just like a Golden Age comic book. I just am not certain that even a gaming group deeply interested in running superheroes in this era will be keen to do this, at this level of detail.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
